Outbound / Order Puller Job Description The Outbound / Order Puller accurately processes returned and recalled items from retail locations so they can be restocked, rerouted to other distribution centers, or sent back to stores. This role works along a conveyor line using an RF scanner to identify, scan, and sort products, while building and wrapping pallets of processed items. The position involves repetitive tasks and requires standing in one place for extended periods in a fast-paced distribution environment. Responsibilities Process returned and recalled items from retail stores according to established procedures. Use an RF scanner to identify, scan, and process items moving along a conveyor belt. Read and follow labels to determine whether items should be returned to distribution center shelves, rerouted to other distribution centers, or sent back to retail stores. Place scanned items in the correct location or container based on system instructions. Build and wrap pallets of processed returned and recalled items securely for storage or shipment. Handle, move, and organize items safely and efficiently throughout the work area. Perform repetitive tasks while standing in one place along the conveyor line for most of the shift. Maintain accurate inventory handling practices while picking, sorting, and staging products. Operate basic material handling equipment, such as pallet jacks, as needed. Keep the work area clean, organized, and free of safety hazards. Essential Skills Experience with general labor in a warehouse or distribution center environment. Material handling experience, including moving, lifting, and organizing items. Ability to use an RF scanner to identify and process inventory. Experience with picking and inventory handling in a fast-paced setting. Ability to operate a pallet jack safely. Capability to stand in one place for extended periods and perform repetitive tasks. Strong attention to detail when reading labels and following routing instructions. Ability to handle and organize items accurately and efficiently. Additional Skills & Qualifications Previous experience working along a conveyor line in a distribution or fulfillment center. Familiarity with building and wrapping pallets for shipment or storage. Comfort working with inventory systems and basic warehouse technology. Reliable attendance and the ability to follow established processes and safety guidelines. Why Work Here? Work Environment The role is based in a large, new distribution center in New Kent that is climate controlled and equipped with modern, well-maintained equipment. Work takes place primarily along a conveyor line, with frequent use of RF scanners, pallet jacks, and pallet-wrapping equipment. The position involves standing for most of the shift and performing repetitive tasks in a structured, process-driven environment. The schedule is a first-shift role: Monday through Thursday from 7:30 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. and Friday from 6:00 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Providence Forge, VA. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $19.00 - $19.00/hr. Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
