Job Description

GENERAL REQUIREMENTS
1. Be able to read, speak, and understand English. 2. Must possess a high school diploma or equivalent. 3. Be able to work and communicate well with others. 4. Be able to work independently following instructions received from the manager. 5. Must provide a copy of current DMV clean driving record upon acceptance of position and consent to new MVR to be processed by company upon hire date and periodically as required by DoT. 6. Must possess CDL, class A or B with Haz Mat endorsement (A preferred) 7. Willing to upgrade B license to an A class, based on business needs. 8. Ability to obtain Hazmat endorsement within 30 days of hire if endorsement has expired (company obtained). 9. OTR (Over the Road) experience required with a former employer safety assessment and driving records required. 10. Thorough knowledge of FMCSA and DOT regulations to ensure compliance with all applicable requirements. Required to perform on the road trips as a routine schedule based on company needs, as assigned by the supervisor or Director. 11. Ability to adapt to last-minute assignment of trips based on company demands, which may include weekend travel. 12. Must complete Forklift Training and receive certification within 3 months of hire date. 13. Must maintain confidentiality of all company related information. 14. Be able and willing to provide own transportation to work. 15. Possess basic math skills. 16. Must have excellent organizational and time management skills. 17. Must represent the company in a professional and respectful manner at all times. 18. Must load and unload shipments. 19. Willing to train as a Pyrotechnician when seminar or in house training is available. 20. Willing to work as a Pyrotechnician when an assigned trip requires both. 21. Works independently with little to no supervision when necessary. 22. Stay current on all Department of Transportation (DOT) regulations involving handling of hazardous materials, inbound/outbound shipments and all CDL driving regulations. 23. Must learn Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms, and Explosives (BATFE) regulations and stay current and knowledgeable on the regulations for Fireworks recordkeeping and storage. 24. Prior experience in warehousing or inventory is required. 25. Be able to work all overtime as required. Late evening, weekend and last-minute overtime can be expected Fireworks peak seasons, May 01 to July 15th, and November 01 to December 31st, but is not limited to this time period. 26. Willing and able to work alternate schedules as required by Manager for Department needs.
JOB DUTIES
1. Receives direction and assigned tasks from the Department Team Leader, Supervisor, or Director for daily and weekly assignments. 2. Ensures all Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) are followed to prevent BATFE violations for all Fireworks processes for inventory and storage. 3. Performs daily and weekly inspections on company vehicles assigned to the department. 4. Performs inspection on transportation equipment used by the department. 5. Ensure to work in a manner to distributes all materials to the production areas upon request in a timely manner to ensure production flow is not interrupted. 6. Supports commercial lines for product deliveries to Fireworks Production to support workload. 7. Assist Fireworks Material Pickers in show pulling to supply fireworks workload. 8. Ensures Fireworks production line is cleared of completed product to avoid the bays being over limit. 9. Prepares commercial shipments to be ready to load. 10. Loads outbound commercial & DoD shipments. 11. Unloads inbound commercial shipments with Receiving Team at the RFAAP and New River Facility. 12. Correct compliance issues and maintains compliance in magazines for storage, inventory and housekeeping to ensure BATFE regulations are met. 13. Perform required trips for FBG and PBG for deliveries and pickups (Commercial and DoD) 14. Prepared to assist to offload and load shipments during the assigned trips at offsite PBG and FBG locations or show sites. 15. Completes Pyrotechnician training and accepts pyrotechnician assignments between OTR driving, for assigned trips. 16. Supports commercial testing, setup, spotters, and break down 17. Assist in pickup and drop-off of company vehicles, rentals, and maintenance appointments 18. Ensures all SOPs are followed to prevent quality violations and failures to meet compliance. 19. Communicates with the Transportation Department for any maintenance issue regarding vehicles. 20. Performs clearing of Commercial storage areas and assists production for Preventive maintenance (PM) as PM's are scheduled. 21. Keeps all Inert storage areas and Explosive Storage areas organized and storage of product in the most efficient manner for removal of product, this includes consolidating product and transferring items as needed. 22. Must be committed to ISO (International Organization for Standardization) and the company's Quality Management System using process approach and risk-based methodologies. 23. Shares in accountability for the effectiveness of the Quality Management System (QMS). 24. Assist in audits which may includes accompanying auditors to all storage areas during inspections and audits. 25. Obey all company work and safety rules. 26. Participates in on-going training as directed by the Manager. 27. Perform all other duties as required by management.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
1. Must be able to lift 45 - 65 lbs. on an occasional basis without assistance. 2. Must be able to lift in excess of 65 lbs. on an occasional basis with assistance (using pallet jacks and hand trucks). 3. Must be able to sit, stand, bend or move throughout work area for 8 to 12 hours per shift.
