Summary:

The E-Commerce Jewelry Clerk is responsible for processing donated jewelry for online sales. This role involves inspecting, authenticating, and pricing items based on market research and preparing compelling product listings with detailed descriptions and photos. The Clerk coordinates with management to maintain quality control, meet production goals, and support sales performance. Strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and a focus on customer service are essential for success in this role.

Essential Functions:

Receives, inspects, and sorts jewelry donations for quality, authenticity, and resale potential.

Conducts online research and testing to authenticate jewelry and determine fair market value, vintage status, and brand details.

Assesses the marketability of items for E-Commerce platforms and retail stores, accurately pricing based on research, guidelines, and market trends.

Stages jewelry for photography, capturing clear images with detailed descriptions of appearance, condition, and specifications.

Writes persuasive sales copy highlighting each item's features, trendiness, and value to attract buyers.

Uses web-based software to list merchandise on E-Commerce platforms, monitoring listings for accuracy and meeting or exceeding daily quotas.

Tracks and reports on sales trends, inventory status, and donation volumes to support business objectives.

Assists with customer inquiries related to jewelry listings, providing accurate and helpful information.

Fulfills customer orders by picking, packing, and shipping inventory, using appropriate packaging materials.

Completes assigned tasks quickly and efficiently.

Meets productivity requirements as outlined by management.

Maintains organized workstations and follows all safety procedures.

Attends training sessions, meetings, and company-related events as required.

Performs other duties as assigned by Management.

Adheres to all Goodwill policies and procedures.

Minimum Qualifications:

Effective written and verbal communication skills.

Basic knowledge of jewelry types, gemstones, and metals.

Basic proficiency in writing clear and compelling product descriptions.

Strong attention to detail for inspecting jewelry, verifying authenticity, and assessing quality.

Familiarity with conducting online research to determine market value and trends.

Familiarity with internet research.

Familiarity with basic photographic principles.

Ability to work independently.

Ability to work within a team situation.

Ability to maintain a positive, friendly attitude.

Ability to perform essential functions, with or without reasonable accommodation.

Special Requirements:

Having a cell phone is not required for employment, but access to applications and/or resources may be limited unless a cell phone is used for authentication.

May be required to work nights, weekends, and holidays to meet operational demands.

Must successfully complete a state background investigation and drug screen.
