Shipping and Receiving Associate:

Essential Job Responsibilities:

• Receive and fill complex orders pre paperwork.
• Fill customer orders from stock.
• Arrange LTL freight and small package freight with an approved freight forwarder.
• Report any inaccuracy or damaged parts to the part Manager.
• Advise the parts Manager on substitution or modification of parts when identical replacements are not available.
• Perform inventory of stock and maintain inventory control.
• Mark and store parts in stockrooms according to prearranged systems.
• Maintain customer and parts utilization files, various filing, and administrative tasks.
• Must be able to properly package parts according to size and shape of parts to minimize damage; attention to detail a must.
• Keep area clean and orderly.

Supervision Exercised:

This position does not supervise other employees.

Required Experience and Skills:

• Experience with inventory control systems preferred.
• Experience with

UPS, FEDEX, USPS

on-line freight system preferred.

• Experience operating a forklift preferred.
• Able to discuss use and features of various parts, based on knowledge of machines or equipment.
• Operating knowledge of computers and inventory control software. . Familiarity using Microsoft Office products (Outlook, Excel)
• Exceptional written and verbal communication skills. Excellent relationship management skills, great phone etiquette.
• Able to prioritize among competing requirements.

Education:

Must have a High School Diploma or equivalent. Mechanical trade school preferred.

Working Conditions and Physical Demands:

• Combination indoor office, indoor warehouse, and outside environments.
• Must be able to reach above head, climb ladders for access to inventory, and lift and carry parts.
• Must be able to verbally communicate with others.
• Must be able to meet requirements for hearing and seeing.
• Must be able to sit or stand for long periods of time.
• Must be able to work overtime and weekends when necessary.
