Spherion is partnering with a local warehouse facility to recruit a detail-oriented and organized Shipping Clerk to join their team! Role Highlights

Role Overview:

Reports directly to the Pick/Ship Supervisor or Pick/Ship Lead Person. Responsible for ensuring all orders are processed and shipped according to customer requests and departmental work instructions. What You'll Do

Handle the actual shipment of parts to customers in accordance with Shipping Department Work Instructions.

Perform final inspections of parts prior to shipping to ensure accurate order fulfillment.

Collaborate with Customer Service, Picking, and Special Sales departments to maintain an efficient daily flow of parts from the warehouse to the customer.

Answer incoming calls to the shipping department, obtain shipping rates/charges, and communicate details to dealers.

Schedule carrier pick-ups, complete bills of lading/air bills, and prepare commercial invoices and shippers export declarations as required.

Palletize, band, label, and mark finished truck/air freight shipments, matching completed air freight bills with corresponding checklists. ...

Keep the crating department informed of shipping priorities and maintain clean, organized work areas.

Be flexible to work until all daily orders are processed and shipped, performing overtime or other assigned duties as needed. What You'll Bring

Education & Experience:

High School diploma or equivalent preferred; previous shipping experience preferred.

Technical Skills:

Some clerical and mechanical knowledge preferred.

Strong oral and written communication skills.

Outstanding detail orientation with the ability to prioritize assignments and handle multiple priorities.
