Summary of Role The Receiving Specialist works with the warehouse team to take delivery of, and accurately record, shipments and related paperwork. This role also unloads packages while meeting productivity, safety, and quality standards. The Specialist creates and maintains relationships with internal customers especially members of the Purchasing team. Key Responsibilities Collaborate with team members to receive and document deliveries. Receive shipments and process paperwork upon receipt. Unload/Load packages from freight trucks. Inspect contents to ensure they are undamaged. Verify packages according to order and invoices (quantity, quality, etc.). Inform Receiving Lead if there are any issues with incoming orders that need to be returned, replaced, etc. Label and place incoming shipments in their designated area. Maintain accurate records to assist with inventory control. Participate in internal/external audits. Other duties as assigned; position subject to change at any time

Qualifications Education :

HS diploma or equivalent

Experience/Knowledge:

Warehouse experience helpful Receiving experience strongly preferred

Skills/Competencies :

Excellent team and interpersonal skills including collaborating with internal and external customers at all levels Basic math and reading skills Basic computer skills; ERP experience preferred Able to comply with all safety guidelines Able to become forklift certified Reliable and punctual; able to prioritize and organize duties and projects Positive, professional attitude with the ability to learn quickly Attention to detail and ability to focus Driven, with the ability to work independently and as a team member Strong listening, written, and verbal communication skills Physical Demands Schedule•

Monday-Thursday:

7 AM to 4

PM, Friday:

7 AM to 1 PM Physically capable of manual labor that includes lifting, bending, walking and reaching. Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs., or more with assistance. Comfortable working in a changing and busy environment. Must drive forklift and wave (order picker). Primarily works in a warehouse with usual noise levels. Able to work overtime as needed.
