Position Overview

Under the direction of the warehouse supervisor, perform various functions within shipping office to include shipping/packing and paperwork. This position is on 2nd shift, with hours of Monday through Thursday, 12:00 PM to 8:30 PM, and Friday, 10:00 AM to 6:00 PM. Responsibilities Receive and inspect all incoming material and log into the ERP system as appropriate.

Use a forklift or hand truck to move all incoming material.

Communicate with Purchasing or Department Leads regarding incoming product.

Ensure all special requirements per order are taken care of prior to shipping using FedEx, UPS or special shipping handler.

Check material requirements, file and communicate with the material coordinator prior to stocking raw material receipt, also assign locations on stocked items as needed.

Understand and operate all equipment and perform daily equipment checks.

Maintain good housekeeping within the cell and keep all equipment meticulously clean to prevent contamination and ensure safety.

Follow all safety precautions and wear protective equipment and clothing as required.

Able to perform shipping office functions, receiving and cycle counts as necessary.

Requirements:

Familiar with Export regulations & documentation.

Fedex/UPS shipping systems. Microsoft Applications, ERP systems.

Physical Expectations:

Ability to frequently lift 40 lbs throughout the shift, and occasionally 50.

Ability to operate and maneuver hoists for material loads of 200 lbs.

Ability to frequently push 200+ lbs on wheels. Ability to frequently bend, squat, and reach throughout shift.

Ability to work in an environment that is not climate controlled.

Ability to stand for extended periods of time.

Ability to walk for extended periods of time.

Education:

High School Diploma or equivalent required.
