We are looking for a reliable, detail-oriented individual for our Shipping Associate-Parts position. This individual will assist in the parts shipping duties using established policies and procedures as defined by Ampco Pumps. A self-starter with experience is desired, but willing to train the right candidate. Duties/Responsibilities Pull parts accurately to fulfill customer orders. Package orders adequately to prevent shipping damage. Label parts and packages for shipment. Record weight and dimensions of each package. Complete and maintain all required paperwork, exercising strong attention to detail. Create shipments in ERP system. Process shipments using UPS WorldShip. Communicate regularly with customer service, purchasing and production departments. Follow all safety policies and maintain departmental housekeeping standards. Other duties as assigned. Required Skills Must be able to perform and use mathematics daily. Ability to understand and follow both written and oral instructions and comprehend shipping paperwork. Must be reliable and dependable with strong communication skills. Must excel in accuracy and efficiency, with close attention to detail. Ability to problem solve, prioritize and multi-task. Ability to work well alone and with a team in a fast-paced environment. Physical Requirements Ability to stand, walk and reach above shoulders. Ability to lift/move parts and/or packages of various sizes, up to 50 lbs. Education/Experience High school diploma/GED Prior warehouse/manufacturing experience preferred. Forklift certified a plus.
