The ideal candidate will possess strong administrative skills, familar with medical office setting. As an Intake Coordinator, you will be responsible for managing patient intake processes, verifying insurance information, and ensuring accurate documentation to facilitate seamless patient care and operational efficiency. This role offers an opportunity to contribute significantly to patient satisfaction and agency workflow. Duties Greet patients and clients professionally via phone, in person, or through electronic communication, ensuring excellent customer service. Collect and verify patient information, including insurance details, medical history, and demographic data. Review medical documentation for accuracy and completeness, ensuring compliance with HIPAA regulations and healthcare standards. Assist with insurance verification procedures, including Medicaid, and private insurers, to facilitate billing and reimbursement processes. Schedule appointments efficiently while managing multi-line phone systems and front desk operations. Maintain accurate medical records by filing documents correctly within electronic health record . Support administrative tasks such as data entry, typing reports, filing paperwork, and managing office supplies to ensure smooth agency operations. Communicate effectively with patients regarding appointment details, pre-visit instructions, and follow-up visits while demonstrating excellent phone etiquette. Collect weekly caregiver timesheets over see evv timesheet process. Qualifications Prior experience in a medical office setting or healthcare home care environment is highly preferred. Strong knowledge of medical terminology, ICD-10/ICD-9 coding, CPT coding, and documentation review processes. Familiarity with insurance verification procedures including medicaid home base waiver programs. Excellent computer skills with expertise in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel) and health information management software. Exceptional organizational skills with the ability to multitask efficiently in a fast-paced environment. Bilingual abilities are a plus to better serve diverse patient populations. Strong interpersonal skills with a focus on patient service excellence and professional communication.
