ICA Midwest, an Amphenol Company, is a manufacturer of specialty wire harnesses, cable assemblies and electromechanical assemblies. ICA Midwest was founded in 1993 and supports leading multinational customers.
About This Position :
The Shipping Manager is responsible for packing and shipping material in accordance with our customers' instructions and requirements.
Responsibilities :
  • Receive and pack finished goods completed by our production team
  • Process transactions related to shipping in the MRP system
  • Maintain accurate inventory of finished goods awaiting shipment
  • Ship finished goods in accordance with our customers' requirements and shipment schedule
  • Regularly communicate with internal teams to exchange information regarding shipments and respond to requests to modify shipment schedules
  • Regularly communicate with our customers regarding shipping-specific requests
  • Regularly communicate with freight carriers regarding shipments and work with carriers to resolve issues that may arise
  • Use our systems to maintain accurate records related to shipments
  • Use external systems to schedule shipments and communicate shipment information to our customers
  • Collaborate with internal and external teams to resolve issues that may arise
  • Use a forklift to move material
Candidate Requirements:
  • Experience in a shipping or material-handling role
  • Ability to work independently and execute standard tasks with minimal guidance
  • Strong computer skills to include experience using Microsoft Excel
  • Ability to communicate effectively via email or in-person
  • Strong organizational skills
  • Ability to lift and stack containers intermittently weighing up to 50 pounds and routinely weighing 15 to 30 pounds
  • Flexibility to respond to and accommodate changes requested
Pay:
$18.00 - $19.00 per hour
