Full Job Description Shift Details:

Compensation:
Hourly rates range from $18 to $23, determined by your specific background and skills.
Material Handler:
$18-$19 per hour
Shipping & Receiving Clerk:
$20-$23 per hour

Applicants should be prepared for a schedule that includes 50+ hours weekly and the potential for weekend shifts. Role Overview A well-established manufacturing firm is looking to hire dedicated Shipping & Receiving Clerks and Material Handlers to bolster their production, logistics, and warehouse teams. We are primarily seeking Shipping & Receiving Clerks who possess a blend of technical computer and inventory management skills alongside practical forklift operation. Additionally, we welcome applications from skilled Material Handlers and forklift operators who are interested in professional development and potential advancement into higher-level shipping and receiving roles. Shipping & Receiving Clerk Duties This position requires a versatile individual capable of balancing physical forklift tasks with digital inventory and documentation responsibilities. Utilize a sit-down forklift to transport finished goods, raw components, and materials. Facilitate the loading and unloading of freight trucks. Ensure materials are organized, staged, and distributed efficiently throughout the building to improve workflow. Verify that all outbound and inbound shipments meet quality and quantity standards. Prepare and audit essential shipping paperwork and bills of lading. Conduct regular cycle counts to help maintain precise inventory levels. Log material movements and inventory data into digital tracking systems. Input and update information within warehouse management or ERP software. Guarantee that all inventory is placed in designated storage areas to maintain facility order. Collaborate across production, logistics, and warehouse teams to ensure operational success. Keep meticulous records of all inventory, receiving, and shipping activities. The role is split between physical material handling (60%) and administrative logistics tasks, such as data entry and documentation (40%). Shipping & Receiving Clerk Requirements Background in manufacturing, distribution, or warehouse shipping and receiving. Proficiency in operating a sit-down forklift is mandatory. Experience with cycle counting, order verification, and managing shipping documents. Strong digital literacy and a quick aptitude for learning new software platforms. Prior experience working with ERP systems is highly preferred. Familiarity with creating or auditing bills of lading is an asset. High level of precision to ensure inventory and shipping data remains accurate. Effective interpersonal skills for coordinating with various internal departments. Material Handler responsibilities include:
Operating a sit-down forklift safely. Transporting parts, raw materials, and finished products across the facility. Loading and unloading freight. Staging necessary materials for production teams. Maintaining organization within the warehouse and inventory zones. Scanning and labeling inventory items. Ensuring a steady flow of materials to support production efficiency. Applicants for the Material Handler role should have at least one year of relevant experience in a warehouse, manufacturing, or distribution setting. High-performing individuals who show aptitude for inventory management and computer systems may be considered for promotion to a Shipping & Receiving Clerk role. Work Environment Our fast-paced manufacturing facility requires employees to be comfortable with the following conditions: Operating in proximity to heavy manufacturing machinery. Working in an environment that may be noisy, warm, or dusty. Remaining on your feet and walking for the duration of the shift. Bending, reaching, and lifting materials as required by the task. Committing to a schedule that includes overtime and occasional weekends.
