Job Description

Shipping and Receiving Clerk - First shift New Berlin Plastics is a family-owned business started in 1975. We are adding to our shipping and receiving department to support our busy production team to meet on-time delivery goals. You will be joining our team to prepare orders for shipment, driving box truck to transport finished goods and materials to and from the offsite warehouse, assist production with material handling, and maintain an organized warehouse.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Load and unload trucks using a pallet jack, and/or forklift Pull and stage orders to ship per the priority list Verify pick ticket information including the customer order number, product, and quantity prior to staging order Verify bill of lading and packing slip when receiving inventory; enter into the ERP system Create labels for incoming inventory with vendor numbers traced to ERP system to maintain inventory accuracy and transport to the proper location. Notify Quality Department when receiving customer returns and/or items placed in QA Hold. Forward material certifications to Manufacturing Assistant for documentation updates. Drive box truck to and from offsite warehouse to deliver finished goods, materials, and packaging to the plant. Participate in cycle counting. Ensure the warehouse is organized, accessible and safe. Other duties as assigned
Certificates, Licenses, Registrations:
Must have a valid driver's license to perform the essential duties of the role; a motor vehicle check (MVR) with a satisfactory driving record per auto insurance requirements.
Minimum Level of Education/Training/Experience Required:
High School Diploma or equivalent 3 - 5 years of experience working in shipping and receiving, in a manufacturing environment preferred Forklift experience
Valid Driver's License Job Skills Requirements:
Basic computer skills and ability to learn new software Basic math skills Strong attention to detail Ability to manage multiple tasks and changing priorities. Self-starter with the ability to work with minimal supervision Function as a team player by maintaining a positive attitude and willingness to assist Differentiators - experience or knowledge that is a plus RF Scanners Inventory Control UPS and FedEx shipping Coordinating and scheduling freight
