Job Description

Shipping Lead The Shipping Lead is responsible for coordinating and overseeing daily shipping and receiving processes to ensure accuracy, efficiency, compliance, and timely delivery of products. This role serves as the primary point of contact for shipping operations, supports workflow organization, and helps maintain inventory accuracy and shipping standards. The Shipping Lead does not have direct supervisory responsibility but provides process guidance and operational support to the shipping team. Key Responsibilities
  • Coordinate daily shipping and receiving activities to ensure smooth workflow and on-time shipments
  • Receive, inspect, and verify incoming shipments for accuracy and damage
  • Prepare, pack, label, and process outgoing domestic and international shipments
  • Ensure compliance with shipping regulations, documentation requirements, HTS codes, and company policies
  • Coordinate shipments with carriers including UPS, FedEx, freight providers, and other logistics partners
  • Maintain accurate shipping, receiving, and inventory records in company systems
  • Organize inventory and shipping areas to maintain efficiency and accuracy
  • Perform cycle counts and investigate inventory discrepancies
  • Monitor shipping schedules, priorities, and workflow to support operational needs
  • Assist in developing and improving shipping procedures and best practices
  • Resolve routine shipping issues and escalate concerns when necessary
  • Support training and onboarding of new shipping personnel on processes and procedures
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe warehouse environment
  • Operate warehouse equipment as certified and required Qualifications
  • High school diploma or equivalent required
  • 3+ years of shipping, warehouse, or logistics experience preferred
  • Knowledge of domestic and international shipping standards, HTS codes, and shipping policies
  • Experience with shipping software and inventory systems (WMS, ERP, UPS/FedEx systems)
  • Strong organizational, problem-solving, and communication skills
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy
  • Basic computer and data entry skills
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and perform physical warehouse duties Working Conditions
  • Warehouse environment with varying temperatures
  • Frequent standing, walking, bending, and lifting
  • May require overtime or flexible hours based on shipping demands Preferred Skills
  • Forklift certification
  • Experience with ERP systems such as SAP or Oracle
  • Familiarity with regulatory compliance including ITAR, EAR, or hazmat shipping Continuous improvement or Lean process experience
Pay:
$22.00 - $25.00 per hour
