Job Description
Are you a dependable worker who can switch gears between warehouse, delivery, and building upkeep? Service Pump & Supply is looking for a Shipping & Receiving Assistant to support our Shipping & Receiving Manager. This is a hands-on role where you'll do a bit of everything: moving inventory, picking up parts from local vendors, keeping the building in good shape, and more. The work isn't the same every day, but it's steady, Monday-Friday, and part of a team that values hard work and practical problem-solving. There may be occasional overtime or an emergency weekend errand, but most weeks have predictable 40-hour schedules. We need a reliable individual committed to maintaining Service Pump's high standards of service and quality. Warehouse, Driving, and Delivery Duties Receive, inspect, and organize incoming shipments Pick and prepare orders for outgoing shipments Safely drive short distances to pick up parts and supplies from local vendors Safely load, secure, and unload cargo using forklifts, pallet jacks, or cranes Operate company vehicles, including flatbeds and trucks with trailers Maintenance & Custodial Duties Restock supplies in break room and restrooms Perform basic building maintenance (replacing light bulbs and HVAC filters, minor repairs, etc.) Maintain grounds (sweeping, snow removal, landscaping upkeep, etc.) What to Expect Physically demanding work at times in both indoor and outdoor conditions Regular bending, twisting, stooping, kneeling, and ladder use Lifting up to 70 pounds A mix of active, hands-on work and occasional routine tasks A close-knit, friendly team that pitches in wherever needed What You Need 2+ years' experience in warehouse, delivery, or related work Valid driver's license and safe driving record (CDL a plus) Ability to operate forklifts and other loading equipment (or willingness to learn) Practical custodial and basic maintenance skills Strong problem solving skills Reliability, attention to detail, and pride in doing a job well Ability to pass a drug screen Military service appreciated but not required Schedule, Pay and Benefits Monday-Friday, 40 hours/week (occasional after-hours needs) Compensation commensurate with experience Paid holidays and PTO Family medical insurance 401(k) match Uniforms and tools provided Opportunities for cross-training and skill development Good service makes us strong.
