Full Job Description Warehouse Supervisor Mobile, AL Job Description Who We Are :
We are a family-owned business that supplies cutting tools, abrasives, and other manufacturing supplies to aerospace, defense and automotive customers. Founded in 1958, we are the largest cutting tool reconditioning firm in North America. We are committed to providing quality products and outstanding service, supported by the uncompromising dedication of our employees. This position will be based on-site at one of our US Tool Operations Centers. If you have : Experience with Inventory Control and Analysis Able to perform multiple tasks at once Strong conflict resolution skills Working knowledge of MS Word, Excel, and inventory software tracking Understanding of warehouse receiving and stocking procedures Understanding of work quality Excellent customer service and people skills Technical knowledge of cutting tools a plus Automated vending knowledge/experience a plus Valid Driver's License clean driving record Forklift Certification a plus Ability to perform the essential functions of the job, with or without reasonable accommodation A typical day may look like this : Oversee the warehouse operations Interact with customer and vendors regarding project management Make certain that all employees are working safely and are properly trained for the task they are assigned to Vast interaction with staff i.e.; scheduling, problem solving, and team building Check attendance Provide discipline to employees as outlined in the US Tool company handbook Keep areas clean and organized Audit different processes daily to ensure it is being carried out proficiently Interact with receiving personnel regarding incoming deliveries Follow up with Farmington staff concerning requests made for expedited items Dedicate time each day for current projects Contact with vendors to help buyers resolve an issue or expedite an item Investigate inventory discrepancies to determine the root cause Provide excellent customer service Report daily to the Site Manager/Program Manager any issues, internal or external that they should be made aware of Sitting 30%, Standing 20%, Walking 50%, Frequent lifting up to 50 lbs.; with occasional lifting up to 70 lbs. For material over 70 lbs. A team lift or mechanical lift is advised.
