Coordinate daily yard activity, equipment readiness and safe work practices. Provide on-site direction and coaching within assigned authority, maintain accurate yard records, and resolve or escalate operational concerns. The position includes hands-on yard work and is eligible for overtime.

II DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES 1.

Yard operations. Coordinate equipment positioning, parking, access and yard organization. Communicate daily priorities and coordinate equipment availability and movement with dispatch and operations. 2. Safety and inspections. Conduct assigned yard and equipment checks, reinforce safety and personal protective equipment requirements, identify hazards, and promptly report incidents, damage and unsafe conditions. Stop or escalate unsafe activity consistent with Company procedures. 3. Equipment records. Maintain accurate inventory, equipment-location and condition records. Review assigned driver vehicle inspection reports, document defects, and follow up on unresolved issues. 4. Driver support and coaching. Assist with yard orientation, equipment familiarization and safe-work practices. Communicate instructions and provide coaching within assigned authority. Refer personnel decisions and unresolved performance concerns to the designated supervisor or Human Resources. 5. Maintenance coordination. Perform authorized minor maintenance, such as checking fluids and replacing lights, within training and safety requirements. Identify mechanical issues, coordinate approved vendor repairs and communicate equipment availability. Do not perform repairs beyond assigned authorization or training. 6. Equipment operation. Operate or reposition yard equipment only when trained, qualified and authorized. Complete required checks and follow safe operating procedures. 7. Communication and records. Provide clear shift handoffs, maintain assigned documentation and support safety reviews. Report time worked accurately, including work performed outside scheduled hours. 8. Related duties. Perform other related duties as assigned, consistent with qualifications, safety requirements and applicable law.

Pay:

$24.00 - $26.00 per hour
