Job Description
Automotive Mechanic / Technician Job Summary Unique Auto Center is looking for an experienced Automotive Mechanic/Technician to join our high-volume used car dealership and service department. We work on a wide variety of vehicles , so we need someone who is comfortable working on different makes and models rather than only one brand. Our inventory includes everyday vehicles such as Toyota, Honda, Nissan, Ford, Chevrolet, Hyundai, and Kia, along with luxury brands such as BMW, Mercedes-Benz, Audi, Porsche, Land Rover, and others. We also regularly work with hybrid and electric vehicles. This is a hands-on position in a fast-paced dealership environment. We are looking for someone who can properly diagnose problems, complete repairs efficiently, and help us get vehicles safely serviced and ready for sale. Responsibilities Diagnose mechanical and electrical problems on used vehicles Perform general automotive repairs and maintenance Engine and transmission diagnosis and repair Brake, suspension, steering, and cooling system repairs A/C diagnosis and repair Check engine light and electrical diagnostics Oil changes and routine maintenance Inspect newly acquired vehicles and identify needed repairs Perform pre-sale and safety inspections Work on domestic, Asian, European, luxury, hybrid, and EV vehicles Use scan tools and diagnostic equipment to accurately identify problems Communicate needed repairs, parts, and estimated completion times Complete repairs efficiently while maintaining quality workmanship Keep the work area and tools organized Handle multiple vehicles and repair jobs in a high-volume environment Qualifications Previous professional automotive repair experience preferred Strong diagnostic and troubleshooting ability Experience working on multiple makes and models Ability to perform repairs without constant supervision Familiarity with automotive scan tools and diagnostic equipment Must have your own basic automotive tools Experience with European/luxury vehicles is a plus Hybrid and EV experience is a plus ASE certifications are a plus but not required Valid driver's license Reliable and able to consistently show up on time What We're Looking For We want someone who is experienced, dependable, productive, and willing to work . This is not a shop that works on the same type of vehicle every day. One vehicle may be a Honda Civic and the next may be a Range Rover, BMW, Mercedes-Benz, Tesla, or pickup truck. You should be comfortable diagnosing unfamiliar vehicles and finding solutions. We have a steady flow of vehicles, so there is plenty of work for a technician who knows what they are doing.
