Job Summary The Shop/Yard Manager is responsible for managing yard and warehouse operations to ensure field crews receive the correct materials, tools, and equipment on time and in safe working condition. This role supports jobsite operations by coordinating material requests, maintaining inventory and equipment readiness, supporting fleet operations, and proactively resolving logistical or equipment issues that could impact projects. Key Responsibilities Receive, pick, stage, and prepare materials, tools, and equipment for job deployment Deliver materials and equipment to jobsites and retrieve unused or surplus items Inspect, verify, and return all materials, tools, and equipment to inventory Track tools and equipment assigned to crews and projects; identify and escalate missing or damaged items Perform or coordinate basic maintenance, cleaning, inspections, and minor repairs on tools and equipment Tag and remove unsafe or damaged equipment from service and maintain condition records Support fleet operations by inspecting company vehicles and coordinating routine maintenance and minor repairs Receive vendor deliveries and verify accuracy against purchase orders and packing slips Coordinate daily with field foremen and project teams to ensure material availability and resolve issues proactively Maintain a clean, organized, and safe yard, warehouse, and storage environment in compliance with safety standards Qualifications 3-5 years of experience in construction yard operations, material handling, logistics, equipment, or fleet support Strong knowledge of construction tools, equipment, and materials; coatings or industrial services experience preferred Demonstrated mechanical aptitude with experience performing basic equipment and vehicle maintenance Experience with inventory control systems or manual tracking methods Valid driver's license required; CDL preferred Forklift, telehandler, or similar equipment operation experience preferred Strong organizational, time management, and communication skills Ability to lift up to 75 lbs and work outdoors in varying weather conditions BrandSafway offers a competitive benefits package that includes medical, dental, vision, life and disability insurance along with a generous 401k plan.
