Job Description
CHME Pharmacy is an independent community pharmacy in Foster City. We serve walk-in retail patients, long-term care facilities, and home patients who rely on us for nutrition, diabetes, and daily-living supplies. This is a non-licensed position — no pharmacy license is required, and we will train you. Most of our incoming calls are patients and facilities asking where their order is. Your main job is to find the answer and close the loop with them. What you'll do
- Answer patient and caregiver calls about order status, shipping, and delivery
- Call patients ahead of time when an order is delayed or backordered
- Follow up on prior authorizations with doctors' offices and insurance plans
- Enter orders and keep patient, insurance, and delivery records accurate
- Ring up sales, balance the register, and complete daily reports
- Receive shipments, stock shelves, and keep the pharmacy clean and organized What you need
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Dependable and on time
- Careful with details and comfortable on a computer
- Patient and professional on the phone, including with frustrated callers
- Able to lift up to 30 pounds Nice to have
- Pharmacy, medical office, call center, or customer service experience
- Experience with prior authorizations or insurance verification
