About the Role The Order Management Manager is the strategic architect of the sales order lifecycle. This role requires extensive experience in CPG practices to ensure that customer orders are executed with 100% accuracy, meeting rigorous Quality and Compliance standards. You will act as the primary bridge between Sales and Global Operations (Production, Distribution, Inventory, and Traffic) to guarantee that financial targets are met while minimizing operational "dilution" and chargebacks. Flexible Time Off Policy Responsibilities Account Onboarding & Compliance Governance Strategic Set-up:
Partner with Sales to analyze new Vendor Compliance Requirements. Validate that internal operational processes and systems (ERP/EDI) are fully aligned with customer mandates.
Risk Mitigation:
Identify "non-compliant" customer requests early; negotiate waivers with Sales or collaborate with IT and Operations to develop necessary system enhancements and process changes.
Manual Mastery:
Maintain an expert-level understanding of each account's Vendor Compliance Manual to prevent systematic errors.
Strategic Order Planning & Lifecycle Management Pipeline Integrity:
Manage the Open Order profile to ensure 100% viability. Proactively identify and resolve deviations in cancel dates, MABD (Must Arrive By Date), and packing/routing requirements.
Communication Hub:
Serve as the primary liaison for Account Managers and Sales Reps, providing real-time visibility into order status and potential supply chain bottlenecks.
Goal Alignment:
Lead the department in establishing and achieving weekly and monthly shipping and invoicing targets.
High-Velocity Order Execution Precision Data Entry:
Oversee the timely processing of all new and replenishment orders (24-hour turnaround) and verify the accuracy of styles, MSRPs, and ship windows.
Inventory Allocation:
Analyze WIP (Work-in-Progress) and on-hand inventory to strategically allocate goods. Coordinate with Production for air-freight solutions or Sales for extensions when delays occur.
Fulfillment Triggering:
Direct the "dropping" of Pick Tickets to the DC, ensuring all special instructions and Value-Added Services (VAS) are clearly communicated to the floor.
Order Custody:
Maintain "close custody" of the entire
Order Cycle:
Generation, Confirmation, Allocation, Routing, Picking, Shipping, Invoicing, Collection.
Performance Analytics & Continuous Improvement KPI Development:
Design and monitor metrics for On-Time Shipping, Fill Rates, and Compliance Accuracy.
Dilution Reduction:
Research and resolve customer chargebacks. Partner with Operations to implement root-cause solutions that eliminate financial leakage across the order cycle.
Business Intelligence:
Leverage data (Excel/Tableau) to generate actionable insights for Executive Management regarding fulfillment productivity and quality.
Leadership & Coaching:
Build a high-performance team by mentoring staff, increasing accountability, and aligning personal objectives with organizational financial goals.
Required Qualifications & Competencies Industry Expertise:
Minimum 5+ years of experience in Order Management or a related wholesale distribution field.
Communication:
Exceptional verbal and written skills; able to build and own the connection between Sales and Operations, influence Executive Management and external partners.
Financial Acumen:
Deep understanding of corporate financial targets and the "Order-to-Cash" process.
Technical Proficiency:
Advanced MS Excel skills (Pivot Tables, V-Lookups) and experience with Data Visualization tools (e.g., Tableau).
Communication:
Exceptional verbal and written skills; able to influence Executive Management and external partners.
Problem Solving:
