Distribution Center Associate Manager, Logistics:
As a strategic leader within Tesla Energy Operations, the Distribution Center Associate Manager plays a critical role in powering the future of sustainable energy. This role is responsible for driving operational excellence across all facets of Receiving, Fulfillment, and Outbound Logistics at one of our key regional HUBs. Reporting directly to senior leadership, this position demands not only executional discipline, but also strategic foresight to scale operations in alignment with Tesla's mission of accelerating the world's transition to sustainable energy. This role serves as the collaborative partner between field installations, material planning, logistics, and inventory control teams — ensuring that every component needed to deploy Tesla Energy products arrives with precision and quality. The ideal leader brings not just operational expertise, but the ability to inspire a high-performing team, implement systems, and build scalable processes that fuel growth across multiple departments.
What You'll Do Lead and Inspire Teams:
Directly manage a workforce of 10+ Warehouse Associates across multiple departments with a focus on accountability, development, and operational achievement. Actively recruit, train, and scale the workforce to meet Tesla's expanding market demands
Drive Operational Excellence:
Own weekly, monthly, and quarterly KPIs across Receiving, Fulfillment, and Shipping. Ensure productivity metrics, process time, and service levels are consistently met or exceeded
Workforce Management:
Forecast labor demand, align headcount to business needs, and maintain optimal staffing levels. Lead with a continuous improvement mindset by identifying bottlenecks and scaling efficiencies through Lean principles and automation
End-to-End Fulfillment Ownership:
Design and execute processes to ensure field crews receive accurate installation kits on time
Facility & Asset Management:
Oversee the entire Distribution Center footprint, including layout optimization, inventory flow, storage utilization, and material flow. Ensure all warehouse assets and equipment are maintained to Tesla's high performance and safety standards
Documentation & Compliance:
Uphold a culture of accountability through meticulous documentation and auditing practices. Ensure full compliance with hazmat protocols, safety regulations, vendor documentation, and all shipping/receiving records What You'll Bring 3+ years of warehouse experience in a high-volume distribution environment and 2+ years of Proven leadership; ideally in warehouse and distribution Experience with inventory planning systems; ERP/WMS proficiency required Strong mechanical aptitude and hands-on ability to understand material handling at all levels. Capable of lifting 50 lbs. and working in a physically demanding environment Exceptionally organized, detail-oriented, and process-driven. The total compensation package for this position may also include other elements dependent on the position offered.
