The Operations Manager will lead the day-to-day performance and continuous improvement of our Tracy Distribution Center, building a culture of safety, quality, accountability, and operational excellence. This role will partner closely with employees and leadership across the site to deliver business goals, strengthen warehouse systems and capabilities, eliminate losses, and develop a high-performing, engaged team. The Operations Manager will be a visible, hands-on leader who drives results through effective problem-solving, disciplined execution, and the development of people and processes.   • Distribution Center In this role, you will: Own Safety, Quality, Production, Cost, Service, and Inventory performance for the Tracy Distribution Center, ensuring the operation consistently delivers against business and site goals.
Establish a clear and ambitious vision for the Tracy Distribution Center that aligns with company and corporate priorities, and work with the leadership team to develop a site masterplan that translates that vision into measurable goals and actions. Create alignment and accountability throughout the warehouse by ensuring employees and leaders have clear work plans connected to site goals, and use the Monthly Plan-Do-Check-Act process to monitor progress, address gaps, and deliver results. Build and lead a highly effective team by establishing clear expectations, defining roles and accountability, fostering strong working relationships, encouraging open feedback, and addressing performance and team conflicts with urgency. Be a visible, hands-on leader in the warehouse by spending meaningful time on the floor, understanding how work gets done, and building credibility with employees through active participation in warehouse operations. Set and maintain high standards for safety, quality, cleanliness, productivity, and operational performance, while ensuring consistent expectations and accountability across the warehouse. Serve as a trusted and supportive leader to the Warehouse Operations Team by listening to employees, understanding the barriers that make their work difficult, and taking action to improve the employee and operational experience. Lead structured problem-solving and loss-elimination efforts by identifying the most significant operational losses, developing effective problem statements, determining root causes, and partnering with Team Managers and Process Engineers to implement sustainable solutions. Build problem-solving capability across the warehouse by developing strong Standard Work, structured problem-solving practices, and a culture where employees and leaders actively identify opportunities and eliminate sources of loss. Lead the Warehouse Monthly Plan-Do-Check-Act process to evaluate performance, identify gaps, establish priorities, and ensure improvement actions are completed and sustained. Use data and technology to understand operational performance and make informed decisions, leveraging tools such as Warehouse Management Systems, Line Event Data Systems, Power BI, Excel, and other analytical resources. Implement capital projects and process improvements that reduce safety risks, improve service, increase productivity, reduce losses, and simplify the work performed by the warehouse team. Establish and sustain daily management systems that create stability and prevent recurring problems, including safety observations, quality inspections, productivity management, defect handling, changeover processes, and other systems that support consistent execution. Monitor key performance indicators for critical operating systems, identify when results are off track, and take action to understand root causes and restore performance. Ensure the warehouse is appropriately staffed and that employees have the skills, training, tools, and resources needed to consistently deliver expected results. Invest in the development of yourself and your direct reports by building technical, operational, and leadership capabilities that support both current performance and future growth. Build toward self-sufficient teams by developing employee capability, increasing ownership at all levels, and creating an environment where teams are equipped to identify and solve problems independently. Identify, develop, and mentor the next generation of warehouse leaders, creating a strong talent pipeline and clear career paths that keep employees engaged and prepared for future opportunities. Establish a culture of continuous learning by benchmarking with other distribution centers, sharing best practices, and applying proven approaches that improve safety, quality, service, productivity, and employee engagement. Stay current on industry trends, emerging technologies, and innovative warehouse practices, identifying opportunities to simplify work, improve operational performance, and position the Tracy Distribution Center for long-term success. You will help teams succeed by: Creating a culture of trust, wellbeing, and inclusion where employees feel valued and supported. Setting clear goals, coaching regularly, and helping team members grow while staying accountable for results. Who you are:
A bachelor's degree in Industrial, Mechanical, Electrical Engineering, or a related engineering discipline. Demonstrated experience as an inspirational and effective leader, with a track record of leading large teams and delivering strong results in a fast-paced operational environment. Practical experience in manufacturing, engineering, warehousing, distribution, or supply chain operations, with experience in roles such as Team Manager, Process Engineer, or other operational leadership positions preferred. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to use data to identify trends, understand root causes, make sound decisions, and drive sustainable improvements. A collaborative leadership style and a genuine interest in building strong relationships with employees, peers, and cross-functional partners. Proven ability to address challenging situations, resolve conflict constructively, hold people accountable, and provide clear and timely feedback. Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment, manage multiple priorities, adapt to changing business needs, and quickly learn and apply new information. A continuous improvement mindset and the ability to embrace feedback, learn from experience, and actively seek opportunities to improve personal and team performance. Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to effectively communicate through email, conference calls, presentations, meetings, and one-on-one interactions. Ability to build trust and credibility at all levels of the organization, from frontline employees to senior leadership, and influence others to achieve shared goals. A hands-on approach to leadership, with a willingness to spend time on the warehouse floor, understand operational processes, and engage directly with employees and the work being performed.

The target annual base salary range for this position is $130,000-150,000. The actual base salary offered will depend on a variety of factors, including the applicant's qualifications, years of relevant experience, specific and unique skills, level of education, certifications or licenses, other legitimate non-discriminatory business factors, and the geographic location of the role. In addition to base pay, individuals in this position may also be eligible to earn bonuses.
