Full Job Description Position Summary:
The Outbound and Delivery Manager will oversee all outbound and delivery functions of the warehouse and will oversee the Packing, Shipping and Delivery Teams. This position will ensure the Warehouse teams meet all performance goals and expectations, including accuracy, organization, cleanliness, safety, training, and fast, friendly customer service.Primary Responsibilities:
Optimize and organize delivery routes Select the best mode of transportation for all outbound orders Seeks opportunities for lower cost freight solutions Ensure timely and accurate LTL shipments Ensures timely and accurate small parcel shipments Monitor and maintain truck maintenance and repair schedules Prioritize and organize order pulls for accuracy Ensure accuracy in outbound Packing & Shipping and Invoicing Ensure all orders are invoiced after being shipped or delivered Ensure Warehouse team is accountable for following all safety guidelines Oversee the completion of all required tasks before leaving each day Greet customers with a positive, friendly attitude Aid in training new hires Schedule driver routes Secures building and assets prior to leaving Ensure trucks are loaded, organized, and secure each dayPosition Requirements:
Must have at least 5 years of warehouse operations experience Must have Fulfillment, Picking, Packing, and Quality Control experience Must be proficient in the sit-down forklift and the Crown walk behind Proven record of performance and trusted professional credibility Experienced team leader with problem-solving experience Strong focus on finding process efficiencies and ways to eliminate waste Maintain professional competence, ethical integrity, knowledge, and skills while following company policies, procedures, practices, and standards of conduct Highly organized and extremely detail oriented Establishes a sense of urgency within the department Exhibits a willingness to do what it takes to get the job done Thinks critically and outside the box to find solutions in the workplace Strives to make the warehouse run as efficiently and as safely as possible at all times Excellent communication skills with both IBT associates and customers Adaptability and flexibility with work schedule to provide exceptional service to all customersPhysical Demands:
Regularly required to sit or stand, reach, bend, and maneuver around the warehouse. Must be able to lift up to 100bsWork Environment:
Usual office, warehouse, manufacturing, and repair shop conditions will exist such as dust, lighting, noise, and temperature fluctuations This position is 50 hours per week Must be trained at the sales counter to be part of the Saturday rotation schedule Required to perform other duties as requested, directed, or assigned.
