The ideal candidate will be a hands-on leader who is committed to maintaining efficient operations, ensuring inventory accuracy, driving performance, and fostering a safe, productive work environment. This position is responsible for managing warehouse personnel, optimizing workflow, monitoring key performance metrics, and ensuring compliance with company policies and all applicable OSHA, federal, state, and local regulations. Essential Responsibilities Warehouse Operations Manage the day-to-day operations of the warehouse, including receiving, shipping, order fulfillment, inventory control, and material handling. Ensure all inbound and outbound shipments are processed accurately and on time. Monitor receiving documentation and investigating discrepancies, including overages, shortages, and damaged products (OS&D). Maintain inventory accuracy through cycle counts, audits, and proper product storage. Develop and implement warehouse policies, procedures, and best practices to improve efficiency and productivity. Ensure warehouse equipment is properly maintained and operated safely. Maintain a clean, organized, and safe warehouse environment. Leadership & Staff Management Supervise, schedule, and coordinate warehouse personnel to ensure appropriate staffing levels. Promote teamwork, accountability, and continuous improvement throughout the warehouse. Inventory & Space Management Oversee inventory control processes to ensure accurate inventory levels and product locations. Coordinate with cross-functional teams to support production, purchasing, and customer service needs. Maximize warehouse space utilization while maintaining efficient product flow. Ensure all inventory is properly identified by item number, lot number, production date, and storage location. Performance Management Monitor and improve key warehouse performance indicators, including: Order Fill Rate Orders Shipped Complete On-Time Shipping Performance Inventory Accuracy Damage Rates Labor Productivity Safety & Compliance Ensure compliance with
OSHA, TSA
(if applicable), and all federal, state, and local safety regulations. Promote and enforce safe work practices throughout the warehouse. Conduct regular safety inspections and address hazards promptly. Ensure employees are properly trained in warehouse equipment and safety procedures. Qualifications Experience Minimum of 3 years of warehouse management or supervisory experience required. Experience in inventory control, shipping, receiving, and warehouse operations. Previous experience working in a distribution or manufacturing environment preferred. Experience managing warehouse staff and multiple operational priorities. Knowledge, Skills & Abilities Strong leadership, coaching, and team-building skills. Excellent organizational and time management abilities. Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills. Experience with inventory management systems, RF scanners, and warehouse management software. Proficient in Microsoft Office, including Excel, Word, and Outlook. Ability to analyze warehouse metrics and implement process improvements. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. High attention to detail and commitment to accuracy. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while managing multiple priorities. Frequently lift and move up to 50 + pounds without assistance. Ability to operate warehouse equipment safely. Ability to work in varying warehouse temperatures, including refrigerated environments as low as 40°F and non-climate-controlled areas that may exceed 100°F.
