Job Description

Overview Job Title:
Assistant Warehouse Manager Job Summary:
The Assistant Warehouse Manager supports the daily operations of the warehouse, ensuring efficient storage, inventory accuracy, and timely distribution of goods. This role works closely with the Warehouse Manager to oversee staff, maintain safety standards, and optimize workflow processes.
Key Responsibilities:
Assist in managing day-to-day warehouse operations, including receiving, storing, and shipping products Supervise warehouse staff and provide training, guidance, and performance feedback Monitor inventory levels and support inventory control procedures, including cycle counts and audits Ensure accurate and timely order fulfillment and shipment processing Maintain compliance with safety regulations and company policies Help develop and implement process improvements to increase efficiency and reduce costs Coordinate with other departments such as logistics, procurement, and customer service Assist in scheduling staff and managing labor resources effectively Resolve operational issues and escalate concerns when necessary Maintain warehouse organization, cleanliness, and equipment upkeep
Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent (Associate's or Bachelor's degree preferred) 2-5 years of warehouse or logistics experience, with some supervisory responsibility Strong knowledge of inventory management systems and warehouse operations Ability to lead and motivate a team in a fast-paced environment Good problem-solving and organizational skills Familiarity with safety standards and OSHA regulations Proficiency in basic computer systems (e.g., inventory software, Microsoft Office)
Physical Requirements:
Ability to lift and move heavy items (up to 50 lbs) Standing, walking, and bending for extended periods Operating warehouse equipment such as forklifts (certification may be required)
Work Environment:
Warehouse setting with varying temperatures Must be available for Overtime and 2nd shift if needed.
Pay:
From $60,000.00 per year
