This role oversees receiving, storage, inventory control, order fulfillment, and shipping while ensuring compliance with food safety, regulatory, and company standards. The Warehouse Manager plays a critical role in supporting production and customer fulfillment by maintaining inventory accuracy, optimizing warehouse processes, and developing a high-performing team. The ideal candidate brings strong leadership experience, a continuous improvement mindset, and a solid understanding of food safety and supply chain operations. Essential Job Responsibilities Warehouse Operations Management Oversee daily warehouse operations including receiving, storage, picking, packing, and shipping. Ensure efficient material flow to support production schedules and customer delivery requirements. Optimize warehouse layout, space utilization, and workflow to improve productivity and reduce waste. Monitor staffing levels and allocate resources to meet operational demands. Ensure proper rotation of inventory (FIFO/FEFO) and product traceability. Inventory Management & Accuracy Maintain accurate inventory through cycle counts, physical inventories, and system reconciliation. Investigate and resolve inventory discrepancies in a timely manner. Ensure accurate transaction processing within ERP/WMS systems. Monitor inventory levels and collaborate with Purchasing and Production to prevent shortages or overstock. Food Safety, Quality & Regulatory Compliance Enforce compliance with: Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP)Hazard Analysis Critical Control Points (HACCP)Food Safety Modernization Act (FSMA) and applicableUSDA/FDA
regulations Ensure proper handling and storage of food products, including temperature control and allergen segregation. Maintain audit readiness for internal, customer, and third-party inspections. Support corrective and preventative actions related to quality and food safety issues. Leadership & Workforce Development Supervise, coach, and develop warehouse personnel. Provide training on safety procedures, equipment operation, and warehouse processes. Manage employee performance, attendance, and disciplinary actions in alignment with company policies. Foster a culture of accountability, teamwork, and continuous improvement. Support employee engagement, retention, and skill development initiatives. Continuous Improvement & Performance Management Monitor and report Key Performance Indicators (KPIs), including: Inventory accuracyOrder fulfillment accuracy and on-time shippingLabor productivitySafety performance Identify opportunities to improve processes, reduce costs, and increase efficiency. Implement standard work, process improvements, and best practices across warehouse operations. Balance safety, quality, delivery, cost, and morale to achieve operational excellence. Equipment & Facility Management Ensure safe operation and proper maintenance of warehouse equipment (forklifts, pallet jacks, scanners). Coordinate preventive maintenance and address equipment issues promptly. Maintain a clean, organized, and safe warehouse environment. Documentation & Reporting Ensure accurate documentation of: Inventory transactionsShipping and receiving recordsTemperature logs and compliance documentation Generate and communicate daily, weekly, and monthly warehouse performance reports. Utilize ERP/WMS systems (e.g., Comarch, Excel, internal systems) effectively. Minimum Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent required. Minimum 3-5 years of warehouse or distribution experience required. Minimum 2 years of leadership or supervisory experience required. Working knowledge of inventory management systems and warehouse operations. Experience with GMP, HACCP, and food safety regulations. Preferred Qualifications Associate's or Bachelor's degree. Experience in food manufacturing or regulated industry. Experience supporting third-party audits (SQF, BRC, etc.). Lean manufacturing or continuous improvement experience. Forklift certification. Experience with ERP/WMS systems (e.g., Comarch). Knowledge, Skills & Abilities Strong leadership and team development skills. Excellent organizational and time management abilities. Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills. High attention to detail and accuracy. Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment. Effective communication and cross-functional collaboration skills. Proficient in Microsoft Office and warehouse management systems. Physical Demands & Work Environment Regularly required to stand, walk, bend, and lift. Frequently lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. Ability to work in varying temperature environments (cold storage, ambient warehouse conditions). Required to wear appropriate PPE (gloves, safety shoes, etc.). Exposure to moderate noise levels. May require overtime, weekend, or holiday work based on operational needs. Food Safety Responsibilities All employees are responsible for supporting the company's food safety and quality initiatives by following Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP), sanitation procedures, and company food safety policies. Employees must report any food safety or product quality concerns immediately to management.Pay:
