Job Description

Warehouse Manager Full-Time | Evening Shift We are looking for an experienced Warehouse Manager to oversee daily warehouse and yard operations, lead a team of warehouse employees and contractors, coordinate trailer loading and unloading, and ensure freight is handled safely and efficiently. This is a hands-on management position. The ideal candidate has experience with load consolidation, trailer weight distribution, 53-foot trailers, warehouse operations, and team leadership and is comfortable working independently during evening hours. ResponsibilitiesWarehouse & Trailer Operations Oversee daily warehouse and yard operations and ensure freight is moved, loaded, unloaded, and handled efficiently. Plan and coordinate outbound trailer loading based on destination, delivery deadlines, cargo type, volume, and weight. Ensure proper weight distribution and safe loading practices. Coordinate trailer positioning at loading docks and designated parking areas. Work closely with the dispatch team regarding incoming and outgoing loads. Identify potential issues with loads and communicate operational concerns to management. Address issues involving pickups, deliveries, and shipping documentation. Monitor freight damage and implement procedures to reduce damage. Train employees on proper freight handling, cargo securing, and safety procedures. Work with other facility managers to improve warehouse processes and efficiency. Monitor warehouse performance and communicate KPIs, operational issues, and improvement opportunities to the Operations Manager. Team Leadership Recruit, interview, hire, onboard, and train warehouse employees and contractors. Create employee schedules and coordinate time-off and holiday coverage. Assign daily tasks and manage workloads across the team. Conduct safety meetings, team meetings, and employee training. Provide leadership, coaching, and direction to the warehouse team. Maintain a professional, respectful, and positive work environment. Address employee and contractor performance issues and make employment decisions in accordance with company policies and management direction. Safety & Compliance Ensure compliance with company safety policies, OSHA requirements, and warehouse safety standards. Oversee routine forklift inspections and maintain required documentation. Track forklift certifications, operator permits, and other required credentials. Ensure required safety inspections and maintenance are completed on schedule. Identify and address potential workplace safety hazards. Facility & Equipment Maintain the warehouse, yard, and surrounding property in a clean, organized, and safe condition. Coordinate building repairs and outside maintenance services as needed. Manage purchasing of warehouse and facility supplies, tools, fuel, and other operational materials. Oversee maintenance of forklifts and yard equipment. Ensure reefer units are properly fueled and ready for operation. Inspect equipment for damage and report issues to management. Coordinate routine facility maintenance, including HVAC, fire extinguishers, emergency eyewash stations, backflow testing, and other required services. Assist with required business licenses, permits, certifications, and other facility requirements. Qualifications Minimum 1 year of experience with load consolidation, including proper weight distribution inside trailers. Experience working with 53-foot trailers, including positioning trailers at loading docks and designated parking areas. Previous warehouse supervisory or management experience preferred. Strong understanding of warehouse operations and freight handling. Ability to lead a team and make independent operational decisions. Strong communication and organizational skills. Ability to work evening and nighttime hours. Ability to stand and walk for extended periods. Ability to lift up to 70 lbs. Reliable transportation and ability to commute to the warehouse during evening/nighttime hours. English proficiency required. Ukrainian or Russian language skills are a plus. CDL is not required.

PM Sunday:
Flexible schedule based on incoming trailer arrival times Emergency availability: Must be available to respond to urgent warehouse or facility issues when necessary. Pay:
$40.00 - $45.00 per hour Expected hours: 40.0 - 50.0 per week
