We are seeking a self-motivated and energetic Warehouse Manager to join our Chicago North team in Mundelein, IL. Job Summary Reporting to the Director of Operations, the Warehouse Manager will work in our facility located in Mundelein, IL. This position is responsible for overseeing personnel and processes to ensure the smooth flow of inbound and outbound shipments by performing and leading others in shipping and receiving, inventory control, and resource and space planning. The Warehouse Manager will lead by example, share knowledge and skills, maintain accurate inventory records, and support the safety and productivity of the team. Responsibilities Oversee, motivate, develop, discipline, and lead shipping, receiving, and material handler employees. Supervise the receiving and processing of all incoming shipments, including checking for accuracy, quality, and damage. Book LTL freight shipments and supervise the preparation and loading of outgoing shipments, ensuring they are properly labeled, documented, and secured. Supervise the daily ground package shipping team. Provide additional backup support for the shipping and receiving departments. Maintain accurate records of shipping and receiving transactions and prepare reports as needed. Monitor shipping and receiving productivity and efficiency, making recommendations for process improvements when necessary. Ensure all shipments are processed in a timely and cost-effective manner using appropriate shipping methods and carriers. Direct the put-away process of all receipts in a timely and efficient manner. Collaborate and communicate with logistics technicians, customer service representatives, service providers, and others involved in the shipment and receipt of products. Engage with vendors and drivers in a professional and positive manner. Develop and maintain accurate inventory records, including performing regular physical inventory counts and reconciling discrepancies. Coordinate with Account Management, Project Management, Production, and other departments for planning purposes and to communicate critical receipts or inventory discrepancies. Ensure equipment is in safe working order and schedule any required maintenance. Qualifications The ideal candidate will possess the following qualifications and characteristics: High school diploma or equivalent required. Three to five years of warehouse shipping and receiving experience required. Two to three years of warehouse supervisory experience required. Bilingual in English and Spanish preferred. Ability to lift up to 50 pounds frequently. Ability to stand for extended periods. Forklift experience or ability to obtain certification within 30 days of hire. Excellent attention to detail. Strong interpersonal and communication skills. Ability to prioritize and switch between multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment. Good basic math skills. Familiarity with product packaging, crating, and material handling. Willingness to ask questions to ensure accuracy. Excellent work ethic and a commitment to completing work correctly the first time. Ability to work independently while maintaining a team-player mentality.
