Job Description

We have immediate need for a experienced Home Delivery Coordinator to work in a furniture home delivery warehouse office in Romeoville, IL. We are a leading national company providing home delivery and logistics solutions for world class retailers such as Mor Furniture for Less, RH, La-Z-Boy, Ashley Furniture, Costco and others. This energetic person will perform a variety of tasks including: coordinating load outs, dispatching and communicating with contract furniture delivery drivers, processing delivery paperwork, working on computer billing files, and helping solve delivery customer problems. Local delivery routing experience and in-depth knowledge of Nashville area geography and traffic patterns is a big plus. Basic computer skills, people skills, a professional appearance, and a strong work ethic are all required. The most qualified candidates will have several years experience in a home delivery or transportation operation office. Must be people oriented and able to communicate well by phone with drivers and customers. Flexibility of schedule, including Saturday availability is required. Responsibilities . Primary responsibility will be dispatch and KPI feedback to active delviery teams throughout each route.. Manage phone calls to/from delivery teams, customers, and clients then record/relay significant information. Address delivery problems and requests by transmitting information and/or formulating and implementing solutions Use phone or computer to review and record information. Monitor the route and status of field units to coordinate efficient delivery performance. Provide field units with information about orders, traffic, obstacles and requirements Enter data in computer system and maintain logs and records of calls, activities and other information Skills Proven experience as delivery router or a relevant position Tech-savvy with working knowledge of routing software and MS 365 applications Proficient in English (oral and written) Bilingual (English/ Spanish ) is preferred Outstanding organizational and multitasking abilities Active listener with excellent communication skills Sound judgement and critical thinking Reliable attendance and ability to work weekends HomeDeliveryLink is an EOE and ADA compliant corporation.

$19.00 - $22.00 per hour
