YARD MANAGER
Big C Lumber is currently seeking a Yard Manager for our Fort Wayne, IN lumber yard. This is a full-time position with benefits, annual salary between $50,000
  • 70,000.
We are currently building a brand-new Big C Lumber facility near the US 30 and I-69 interchange , giving you the opportunity to join our team as we expand our presence in the Fort Wayne market. This is an exciting time to become part of Big C Lumber and help us build something new in the community!
Yard Manager Essential Functions:
Personnel management and training Invoice delivery tickets and transfers Ensure accuracy of all incoming and outgoing freight Maintain inventory Maintain a clean and well-organized yard Receive all materials Aid with loading and unloading trucks
Education/Experience:
High school diploma or GED preferred Valid driver's license—minimum Chauffeur/For-Hire Endorsement Ability to obtain CDL B if needed 3 years' experience in industry preferred
Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:
Self-motivation, leadership skills, team player Ability to accurately and rapidly meet deadlines Attention to detail Above average knowledge of equipment and materials Ability to occasionally lift and carry up to 80lbs Ability to stand and sit for long periods of times Ability to withstand prolonged exposure to harsh and extreme weather conditions Ability to coordinate as well as work in a team Ability to adapt to in-house software Basic computer skills and knowledge Equal Opportunity Employer This employer is required to notify all applicants of their rights pursuant to federal employment laws.
