Key Responsibilities:
Oversee and enforce compliance with company policies and US Department of Transportation (DOT) regulations for the safe operation of all delivery vehicles. Provide comprehensive training to ensure delivery team members understand job requirements and possess the skills to perform effectively. Manage delivery schedules and routes to ensure timely and efficient service. Monitor and uphold adherence to company and federal safety standards across all delivery activities. Supervise all aspects of delivery employee performance, including conducting performance evaluations, addressing disciplinary matters, and participating in hiring and termination decisions. Collaborate with the Sales team to align delivery operations with company objectives and achieve market excellence. Support and instruct employees participating in the in-house CDL training program, focusing on safety and the skills needed to obtain a Class A CDL. Become proficient with VIP and other programs. Perform additional tasks as assigned by management.
Qualifications:
1 year of supervisory experience preferred. 2 years' experience in logistics / delivery operations. Strong understanding of DOT regulations and safety standards preferred. Class A CDL Preferred. If no CDL, must obtain in 6 months of start date. Excellent leadership, communication, and organizational skills. Experience in training and mentoring employees. Proficient with MS Office and intermediate or advanced Excel skills. Must have a valid driver's license and a driving record that meets company requirements. Experience using material handling equipment. Routing experience preferred. Must be able to repetitively squat, bend, twist, stand and walk for prolonged periods. Must be able to repetitively lift 25-30 pounds and occasional lifting of upto160 pounds.
