Job Description
Back Warehouse Manager @ McIlhenny Company What this job is all about: The Warehouse Manager leads all warehouse and distribution operations, including receiving, inventory, storage, shipping, and personnel management. This role ensures the safe, efficient, and compliant movement of materials and finished goods while maintaining inventory accuracy and supporting production and customer needs. The position also focuses on employee development, operational performance, cross-functional collaboration, and continuous improvement through Lean and problem-solving methodologies to improve efficiency, reduce waste, and drive overall warehouse performance. In this job, you'll do things like: Lead all warehouse functions including Receiving, Production Receiving, Inventory Control, Domestic Shipping, and Export Shipping. Monitor departmental performance and drive achievement of operational goals. Maintain inventory accuracy through effective transaction control, cycle counts, and audits. Ensure timely receipt, storage, movement, and distribution of materials and finished goods. Oversee domestic and international shipping operations to ensure on-time delivery. Ensure compliance with customer requirements, transportation regulations, and import/export requirements. Manage relationships with carriers, freight forwarders, and third-party logistics providers. Lead, coach, and develop warehouse personnel to achieve performance objectives. Ensure compliance with GMPs, safety standards, company policies, and regulatory requirements. Lead continuous improvement initiatives focused on safety, quality, delivery, inventory accuracy, and cost reduction. Utilize Lean, 5S, Kaizen, and root cause problem-solving methodologies to improve processes. Identify and eliminate operational inefficiencies, waste, and workflow bottlenecks. Maintain accurate warehouse records, shipping documentation, and inventory transactions. Utilize WMS and ERP systems to support operational execution and reporting. Partner with Supply Chain, Production, Quality, Procurement, and Customer Service to achieve business objectives. Support growth initiatives, capacity planning, and operational projects.
