Job Description

Position Overview An established residential service organization is seeking an experienced Warehouse Manager to support its Baton Rouge operations. This position is responsible for the organization, readiness, inventory control, material flow, and day-to-day operation of an assigned warehouse. The Warehouse Manager helps ensure field crews have the materials, equipment, inventory, and operational support needed to complete scheduled work efficiently. The ideal candidate is organized, dependable, comfortable working independently, and experienced with inventory control, receiving, warehouse documentation, vehicles, and material movement. Responsibilities Open and prepare the warehouse for daily operations and field-team arrival. Receive, unload, inspect, organize, store, and stage materials and equipment. Verify incoming shipments against receiving documentation and report shortages, damage, or incorrect materials. Maintain accurate inventory levels and complete scheduled physical counts, audits, and spot checks. Maintain accurate pick slips, receipts, stock-transfer records, photos, and other inventory documentation. Organize materials by customer, job, stock location, or scheduled work requirements. Coordinate inventory replenishment and communicate shortages or discrepancies promptly. Maintain warehouse, shop, parking, yard, and related areas in a clean, organized, and safe condition. Coordinate or support maintenance and readiness of company vehicles assigned to the location. Complete vendor pickups, stock movements, material transfers, and other warehouse support activities as needed. Coordinate inventory transfers between locations when required. Use company-provided digital systems, inventory records, forms, and checklists accurately and consistently. Communicate effectively with purchasing, operations, office personnel, field employees, vendors, and other warehouse personnel. Travel to other regional locations as business needs require to assist with inventory counts, audits, transfers, or warehouse support. Attend required safety meetings, training sessions, and company meetings. Required Qualifications Previous experience in warehouse operations, inventory control, shipping/receiving, materials management, logistics, or a closely related field. Strong organizational and inventory-control skills. Ability to accurately maintain warehouse records and electronic documentation. Valid driver's license and ability to meet company driving requirements. Ability to safely operate a company vehicle. Comfortable working independently and managing multiple operational priorities. Basic proficiency with computers, email, spreadsheets, and web-based business systems. Ability to identify and communicate inventory discrepancies, material shortages, and operational concerns promptly. Ability and willingness to travel regionally as business needs require. Ability to perform the physical functions of warehouse work with or without reasonable accommodation. Preferred Qualifications Previous warehouse lead, warehouse manager, inventory manager, or materials coordinator experience. Experience with physical inventory counts, cycle counts, audits, and stock reconciliation. Experience coordinating purchasing, receiving, stock transfers, or vendor pickups. Forklift or powered industrial equipment experience. Experience supporting company vehicles or fleet-related documentation. Experience in construction materials, mechanical parts, building products, field service, distribution, or another parts-intensive operation. Work Environment This is a hands-on warehouse position involving regular standing, walking, bending, reaching, pushing, pulling, material handling, and movement throughout warehouse, yard, vehicle, and outdoor environments. The position may involve exposure to heat, cold, humidity, dust, noise, moving equipment, vehicles, oils, fluids, and other conditions typical of warehouse operations. Pay:
$50,000.00 - $60,000.00 per year
