Job Description

Lee Michaels Fine Jewelry is seeking a Graduate Gemologist (GIA) to support both corporate operations and retail locations. Based out of our Corporate Office in Baton Rouge, Louisiana, this role combines diamond grading, inventory processing, and client-facing work .
Key Responsibilities:
Grade and sort loose diamonds (color, clarity, cut, carat) Process new diamond orders, trade-ins, and buying event merchandise Prepare and document items for shipment to manufacturer Conduct insurance evaluations at store locations Review incoming merchandise and provide descriptions Maintain accuracy, quality control, and detailed records
Qualifications:
GIA Graduate Gemologist required Experience in diamond grading and/or appraisals preferred Strong attention to detail and organizational skills Professional, client-focused communication Willingness to travel to store locations as needed
