Job Description

POSITION SUMMARY
The Warehouse Manager (WM) - is an individual selected to supervise the receipt, dispatching and storage of merchandise in the warehouse. The WM will oversee picking, storage, receiving dispatching, security and maintenance. The warehouse manager will oversee, train, evaluate and reward staff. The Warehouse Manager must be able to multitask effectively in a fast paced, dynamic environment and perform duties in a manner that maximize profitability.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Overseeing receiving, warehousing, inventory and distribution Implements company policy and procedure considering our procurement function Ensures effective and safe use of warehouse equipment Motivates, leads, instruct and corrects staff. Maintain and keeps and accurate record of all warehouse activity. Controls inventory and coordinates needs and excess quantities with Procurement Representative. Works diligently to reduce inventory levels within the warehouse. Works together with Director of Procurement to set and maintain proper minimum and maximum levels of inventory within the warehouse. Controls consumable quantities for weld shop, assembly shop, pipe/skid shop. Controls quantities so that no items are being overutilized. Issues any materials pulled from inventory to the job daily Checks and receives materials form Purchase Order as they arrive at the facility. Make sure all job items are properly labeled, packaged and stored until needed. Ensures that the warehouse is always kept neat, clean and organized for efficient daily operations Ensures that 3rd parties are complying with GVT safety standards and guidelines as they visit our facilities. Records and checks all documentation on every load leaving the facility before it leaves. Make sure to take pictures of all finished goods leaving the GVT facility and files those pictures in the proper folder on the GVT Server. Coordinate daily activity for warehouse drivers so that inventory and job items are picked up and received in the allotted time to ensure on time delivery.
QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS
Prefer four-year degree from accredited university; however, job work experience may be accepted in lieu of degree. High School diploma is mandatory. Minimum five years' experience in a relevant domain and ten years in management positions. Excellent communications skills in English/Spanish (if applicable). Proficient knowledge of inventory and inventory controls. Proficient Computer skills. Valid U.S. driver's license. Proficient in Global Vessel and Tank software programs
