Warehouse Manager Job Details Job Type Full-time Lawrence, MA Monday-Friday

  • 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM (some weekends when needed) Description The desired candidate will have prior Warehouse management experience with knowledge in all aspects of warehousing. Specific experience and responsibilities will include, but not limited to, the management of personnel in all Warehouse Departments
  • Shipping, Receiving, Organizing and Inventory Controls, as well as working in a hands-on, lead-by-example capacity.

This position will require excellent organizational and interpersonal skills with a proven track record of leadership and employee development.

Job Duties and Responsibilities:

Manages warehousing, and distribution operations by initiating, coordinating, and enforcing program, operational, and personnel policies and procedures. Maintains physical condition of warehouse by planning and implementing new design layouts; inspecting equipment; issuing work orders for repair and requisitions for replacement. Controls inventory accuracy by conducting physical counts; reconciling with warehouse management system. Develop, review, communicate and direct duties for shipping, staging, receiving, and management of products. Directly responsible for team building and a positive work environment. Responsible for creating, monitoring, and ensuring the successful completion of all employee goals Coordinate efforts among the company to meet and exceed demands Ensure cycle counts happen regularly and accurately aligning with Company's system Maintains warehouse staff by recruiting, selecting, orienting, and training employees. Maintains warehouse staff job results by coaching, counseling, and disciplining employees; planning, monitoring, and appraising job results. Ensure you work alongside your Warehouse departments on a fairly regular schedule to demonstrate a hands-on and team-oriented environment, as well as ensure operations are in order.

Requirements:
Requirements Skills and Qualifications:

Bachelor Degree

  • Logistics, Warehousing, or Management 5+ years' experience in a warehouse lead role, managing hourly employees Proficient knowledge of warehouse procedures and policies Excellent problem-solving skills and leadership qualities Ability to work with all levels of company staff Understands warehousing/inventory turns and manages slow/dead moving inventory Excellent understanding of inventory controls, including but not limited to cycle counting, inventory turns and slow moving/dead inventory Ability to operate a forklift safely and effectively Proficient computer skills Outstanding communicative skills (written and verbal) Strong people skills•m•ust be Bilingual (English/Spanish) Available to work extended hours (Saturdays are required during specific times of the year.
