Job Description

The Warehouse Operations Manager is responsible for directing and coordinating warehousing and shipping related activities in two buildings. This position directly manages the warehousing of finished goods, inventory control, order fulfillment and shipments of products to an extensive customer base. Supervises the Warehouse Supervisors and administrative staff. This position pays between $100,000 to $125, 000 annually.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Reviews orders for product availability and coordinates with Production Control to fill orders completely and in a timely manner. Represents the company professionally when interacting with customer representatives. Create a cross-trained, versatile workforce capable of flexing across functions during peak business periods. Maintain high standards of inventory accuracy through audits, quality checks, and strong process adherence. Daily and weekly labor planning, staffing models and workload distribution to meet productivity, quality, cost and timeliness targets. Conduct performance management, succession planning, leadership development and ongoing coaching in partnership with Plant Manager. Build and sustain a strong culture of communication, accountability, professionalism, reliability and employee wellbeing. Knows and adheres to safety regulations (e.g., OSHA) as well as Sterilite's safety policies and procedures. Promotes a strong safety culture and proactively identifies and addresses hazards or unsafe behaviors. Displays a high standard of ethical conduct and has an understanding of the impact of one's conduct on others. Complies with approved labor budget requirements. Maintains a fair, firm, and friendly work environment. Bachelor's degree in a related field preferred 5+ years previous management experience Ability to exercise good judgement and maintain confidentiality Experience working with WMS software Strong communication skills; work effectively with supervisors, peers and subordinates Must be PC literate and proficient with mainframe computer systems software, Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook applications For over 85 years Sterilite has manufactured household and storage products that help people to organize their lives.
