Full-Time 1stShift Summary:
We are seeking an experienced and strategic Warehouse Operations Manager to lead our high-volume distribution center. In this role, you will oversee the total daily workflow of our warehouse floor, directly managing departmental leaders, including our Shipping Manager and Fulfillment Lead. The ideal candidate possesses deep supply chain expertise, a proven track role of optimizing large-scale facility workflows, and a leadership style that balances high operational efficiency with a strong culture of safety and team morale.Key Responsibilities:
Operational Leadership:
Oversee and synchronize all warehouse functions, ensuring seamless collaboration between the Shipping and Fulfillment departments to meet daily performance metrics.Process Optimization:
Identify bottlenecks in inventory flow, sorting, packing, and dispatch; implement continuous improvement initiatives to increase throughput and accuracy.Team Management & Development:
Directly supervise, coach, and evaluate departmental managers and leads. Foster a high-performance culture focused on safety, accountability, and professional growth.Safety & Compliance:
Enforce all safety protocols, OSHA standards, and company policies. Conduct regular safety audits and ensure the facility remains hazard-free.Resource & Budget Management:
Manage labor allocations, equipment maintenance schedules, and operational expenses to align with budget goals.Inventory Control & Systems:
Utilize Warehouse Management Systems (WMS) to track inventory accuracy, monitor metrics, and generate operational reports for senior leadership.Qualifications & Skills:
Experience:
10+ years of progressive experience in warehouse operations, distribution, or logistics, with a minimum of 3-5 years in a senior leadership or managerial role.Education:
Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business Administration, or a related field is preferred; equivalent senior-level military or industry experience will be considered.Leadership:
Proven ability to manage, motivate, and develop other supervisors and leads in a fast-paced environment.Technical Skills:
Proficiency with enterprise-level Warehouse Management Systems (WMS), Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) software, and data analytics tools.Problem Solving:
Strong analytical and conflict-resolution skills, with the ability to make data-driven decisions under pressure. Physical Requirements & Conditions Must be able to lift, push, pull, and move items weighing up to 50 lbs regularly. Ability to stand, walk, bend, and navigate a concrete warehouse floor for extended periods (up to 8-10 hours per day). Comfort working in an active industrial environment with varying noise levels and temperatures.
