Position Overview The Delivery Operations Manager oversees the day-to-day coordination of service teams, job scheduling, materials delivery, and workflow efficiency. This role ensures that chimney service appointments are executed smoothly—from equipment prep to job completion—and acts as the central point of communication between office staff, technicians, and customers.
Hours:
7am-4pm Monday Through Friday, weekends as required
Key Responsibilities:
Manage daily job schedules and route plans for chimney technicians. Ensure all jobs are staffed appropriately and equipped with the right tools, materials, and safety gear. Monitor job progress throughout the day, adjusting schedules as needed for delays, emergencies, or weather conditions. Provide real-time updates on job status, schedule changes, or material needs. Report safety concerns or process issues and lead initiatives to reduce operational risks; ensure that all OSHA and federal road procedures are followed Help resolve customer concerns related to scheduling, service timelines, or job execution. Identify appropriate training and development opportunities for the department's employees Ensure warehouse is effectively managed: optimize stock levels, ordering cycles, and project materials staging. Work with managers, supervisors and employees to promote a positive attitude and good employee morale Experience 2+ years of experience in field operations, delivery coordination, logistics, home-service management (construction, HVAC, plumbing, chimney work, etc.), or similar Ability to prioritize responsibilities and manage multiple service needs simultaneously Proven team management experience Strong organizational and time-management skills. Familiar with working in fast-paced, hands-on environments. Excellent communication skills and a customer-service mindset. Familiarity with scheduling software or CRM systems is a plus. Proficient with Microsoft Windows OS and related Office software Valid driver's license with a clean driving record required Physical Requirements Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. regularly. Comfortable working in a warehouse environment Standing, bending, and operating warehouse equipment for extended periods.
Pay:
$70,000.00 - $90,000.00 per year
