WHY YOUR POSITION MATTERS

Being a Manila Mart Dishwasher/General Food Prepper is one of the most important roles in our fast paced, high volume fast casual cafe. Your primary role is to keep the dishwashing station clean, sanitary, and organized and aid in daily cafe food preparation. Being a part of our team requires a high level of energy, a good attitude, and great work ethic. A successful Dishwasher/General Food Prepper enjoys working in a fast paced environment, and is often described as a team player.

RESPONSIBILITIES

Maintains a clean and sanitary work space with guidance from kitchen lead Ensures the availability of clean dishes by keep the dishwashing station clean and sanitary at all times Learns how and where to properly organize and store dry dishes Wash dishes by hand utilizing the 3 compartment sink properly and learns how to maintain proper sanitizing levels Sweeping and mopping floors Taking out the trash, replacing liners, and rinsing garbage cans Maintaining the cleanliness of all machines and kitchen appliances Supporting other back of house staff members by assisting with daily food preparation which includes but is not limited to peeling & cutting various types of vegetables, prepping ingredients, and cleaning/sorting various types of fish, and foods Ensures a first-in, first-out food rotation system and verifies all food products are properly dated and organized for quality assurance Learns how to label, identify, and properly store food away in fridge and freezers Helps maintain the overall cleanliness of the kitchen, bathrooms, and dining area (mopping, sweeping, wiping down kitchen surfaces, sanitizing toilets & sinks, replacing toiletries, etc.) Maintain proper grooming of nails, hair, facial hair, and have a clean presentable uniform at all times Has basic understanding of food handling safety and basic food handling protocols.
