Your Purpose:
Own end-to-end in-house production and fulfillment as a working manager: set the operating cadence, run the floor, and hit SLA, quality, and cost targets while building the systems, SOPs, and team that let the operation scale with a 12-month rolling forecast. To nail your job, you will: Production Management for an Outstanding Gardyner Experience Own the daily production plan and personally clear bottlenecks on the floor to sustain strong Overall Equipment Effectiveness (OEE). Keep the finished-goods defect rate low through disciplined IQC (Incoming Quality Control) and IPQC (In-Process Quality Control), closing every issue with timely root-cause analysis (5-Why/CAPA). Deliver timely EOM reporting on inventory, material consumption, and production output, reconciled directly against NetSuite with minimal variance. Set up and run a formal non-conformance and discrepancy tracking system, resolving issues or assigning corrective action within target SLA. Maintain a rolling 12-month manufacturing and fulfillment plan tied to the company forecast, able to absorb demand or supply swings without missing SLA or cost targets. Increase Uptime and Equipment Reliability Build and enforce a preventive maintenance (PM) schedule with consistently strong on-time completion. Run structured inspections of production machinery on a fixed cadence, catching and resolving issues before they cause a line-stopping breakdown. Use production and downtime data to identify and ship measurable process or throughput improvements on an ongoing basis. Team Leadership & SOP Development Schedule and staff production shifts to achieve a strong production on-time rate, adjusting labor and sequencing in real time to protect the schedule. Lead, mentor, and cross-train a high-performing production and fulfillment team, sustaining strong employee satisfaction. Develop and maintain clear, current, bilingual (English/Spanish) SOPs for every core production and fulfillment task, reviewed on a regular cadence and used to onboard new hires. Conduct regular safety training and floor walks, achieving strong training completion and maintaining zero recordable lost-time incidents. In-house Fulfillment & Order Processing Efficiency Hold fast fulfillment processing times for both spare parts and standard orders, measured against ShipStation timestamps across locations. Keep order and inventory discrepancies low through accurate, timely fulfillment reporting and daily reconciliation. Establish a weekly fulfillment performance review (volume, SLA, cost per order, exceptions) with clear visibility and documented issue resolution. Run a continuous-improvement loop on fulfillment workflows, consistently delivering speed or accuracy gains with quantified impact. We'll love you because: You are proficient in manufacturing processes, quality control principles (IQC/IPQC), and production efficiency metrics (OEE) - and willing to be hands-on on the floor. You have strong inventory management, warehouse organization, and inventory/production reporting skills, including reconciliation against an ERP (NetSuite a plus). You have a deep understanding of safety regulations (OSHA etc.), the ability to conduct safety training, and experience maintaining a safe work environment. You have working knowledge of production machinery and equipment, including preventive maintenance practices. You are comfortable working in fulfillment systems (ShipStation or similar) and translating data into operating decisions. You are able to plan strategically against a rolling forecast while still executing day-to-day. You are bilingual (English and Spanish). You are able to adapt to changing production demands, supply chain disruptions, and other unforeseen circumstances. You take full responsibility for assigned tasks, projects, and outcomes. You have a high level of comfort giving and receiving constructive feedback. The Gardyn culture resonates strongly with you. You love teamwork in a multicultural and diverse environment. You'll love us because: We encourage unconventional thinking. We are paving the path for innovation in home-grown food and education. We are creating a movement bigger than ourselves that will positively enhance people's lives. We practice radical candor and encourage employees to be authentic and transparent when communicating with all internal employees as well as external vendor relationships. We lead with context not control and let you determine the best ways to accomplish your goals. We are a wicked smart yet humble team. Egos are not welcome here.
