Warehouse Manager

Position Summary:

We are seeking an experienced and highly organized Warehouse Manager to oversee the day-to-day operations of our wine distribution warehouse. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in warehouse logistics, team management, and inventory control, with a keen understanding of the specific handling and storage requirements for wine and spirits. This role is critical to ensuring efficient, accurate, and compliant warehouse operations that support timely customer deliveries and uphold product integrity.

Key Responsibilities:

Manage daily warehouse operations including receiving, storage, picking, packing, and shipping Supervise and lead a team of warehouse staff (drivers, pickers, loaders) including scheduling, training, and performance management Ensure proper handling and storage of wine and spirits, maintaining temperature control, cleanliness, and compliance with legal and safety requirements Oversee inventory accuracy through regular cycle counts, reconciliation, and coordination with the inventory team Coordinate incoming and outgoing shipments with delivery drivers and sales staff Optimize warehouse layout, processes, and flow for efficiency and safety Maintain and enforce safety protocols, forklift operations, and OSHA compliance Collaborate with the sales, logistics, and operations teams to ensure customer satisfaction and on-time deliveries Manage fleet maintenance schedules and coordinate repairs with vendors as needed Track and report key metrics including order accuracy, fulfillment times, and damages/losses

Qualifications:

3+ years of warehouse management or supervisory experience, ideally in wine, beverage, or food distribution Strong leadership and communication skills with a hands-on, team-focused approach Knowledge of wine handling, storage, and distribution requirements preferred Experience with inventory systems and warehouse management software Forklift certification (or ability to obtain) required Ability to lift and move cases of wine (up to 40 lbs regularly) Valid driver's license and clean driving record
