Job Description
Purity Cylinder Gases is an independent, family-owned, and operated gas and welding supply distributor with 16 locations throughout Michigan and Northern Indiana. Purity has a long track record of low employee turnover, promoting from within, and industry leading compensation and benefit packages. The Cryogenic and Inter-Office Distribution Manager is responsible for planning, forecasting, scheduling, and coordinating cryogenic bulk gas deliveries and inter-office truck shipments. This position leads, coaches, schedules, and holds cryogenic and inter-office drivers accountable while supporting safe, reliable, customer-focused distribution operations. The role requires strong communication, sound judgment, effective problem solving, and close coordination with drivers, customers, gas suppliers, production, location managers, sales, and service departments. This position includes a very competitive compensation package that includes a base weekly salary and will be part of the Company's quarterly bonus program. Purity also offers a very competitive above market benefit package that includes several health plan options, dental, vision, and other insurance options, and a 401(k) plan with a 4% company match and 8% average annual profit sharing contribution. Major Functions Lead, coach, and hold cryogenic and inter-office drivers accountable Forecast, adjust, plan, and schedule bulk cryogenic gas deliveries Coordinate inter-office truck shipments with internal teams Coordinate repair and maintenance needs for cryogenic and inter-office equipment Qualifications Needed Strong verbal and written communication skills, including the ability to clearly communicate schedules, changes, expectations, and service concerns. Excellent interpersonal skills with a strong understanding of customer service, teamwork, and cross-department coordination. Leadership experience is preferred, including the ability to coach employees, review performance, set expectations, and address accountability concerns. Ability to analyze operational data, identify trends, solve problems, and make timely delivery scheduling decisions. Working knowledge of Microsoft Office, telemetry systems, and relevant industry software.
