Job Description
Job Overview We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Shipping/Receiving Manager to oversee our shipping operations. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing the shipping process and ensuring accurate inventory control. Ideal candidates will have a solid understanding of logistics and the ability to be a team player to work towards process improvements within our manufacturing system. Work hours are Monday through Thursday 7:00am to 4:30pm and Friday 7:00am to 11:00am Duties Ship parts to customers per developed delivery schedule Load parts on trucks for shipment to customer or vendor Oversee inventory management and control to ensure accuracy and efficiency. Implement process improvements to enhance operational performance. Utilize manufacturing software for tracking inventory and logistics. Ensure safety standards within the manufacturing facility. Conduct regular audits of inventory levels and resolve discrepancies as needed. Write up Bill of Ladings Gather all necessary parts from various operations and supplemental processes for delivery Responsible in the construction of pallets, crates and/or shipping boxes Other duties may be assigned Requirements Strong knowledge of inventory control processes and logistics operations Ability to perform basic functions on computer including; Parts inventory, entry for stock inventory, creating packing list and printing labels Verifies correct parts with prints for identification for shipping Use forklift to load and unload trucks Ability to perform lifting and manage physical demands of the role Understanding of shipping & receiving protocols and materials handling techniques. Strong problem-solving skills with a focus on process improvement initiatives. Safety sensitive position
