About the Role Bodies Race Company produces hundreds of endurance events a year across the Kansas City area and beyond. We're hiring one person to take full ownership of two connected responsibilities: keeping our race warehouse organized and equipment race-ready, and keeping our private property running smoothly day to day. This is a hands-on, physical role for someone who genuinely wants to own both sides of it — not just clock hours. Warehouse & Equipment Load and unload vans/trailers ahead of race weekends; check equipment in and out Inspect, clean, and maintain race equipment (signage, timing gear, tents, tables, etc.) Keep the warehouse clean, organized, and inventory-accurate Flag equipment or facility issues before they become race-week problems Property & Grounds Mow, trim, and weed-eat the property on a regular schedule (roughly 10 acres); during the school year you'll own this solo, in summer you'll have a seasonal teen helper to split the load with Maintain the mower/tractor/UTV fleet: weekly wash-downs, blade sharpening, fluid/tire/filter checks, proper storage Handle basic, occasional weed and pest control around gravel drives, building perimeters, and rock beds using labeled products — no certification needed, just careful label-following Routine building upkeep: furnace filters, light bulbs, small repairs, keeping shared/shop spaces clean and organized Bigger-skill work — electrical, HVAC, remodels, builds — is handled by our dedicated handyman; this role isn't expected to take that on What We're Looking For Reliable and self-motivated — comfortable working independently with minimal day-to-day supervision Comfortable with physical labor: lifting, loading, mowing, outdoor work in all seasons Basic mechanical aptitude — able to do simple equipment repairs and maintenance with hand tools Experience with mowers/tractors/UTVs a strong plus Valid driver's license, meeting company driving eligibility requirements Organized and detail-oriented — this role is the reason equipment shows up complete and the property looks intentional Prior warehouse, facilities, groundskeeping, or property maintenance experience a plus, not required
