Job Description

Job Overview We are seeking a dynamic and proactive Warehouse Assistant Manager to support the Warehouse Manager in leading and optimizing our warehouse operations. This position is responsible for driving operational excellence through employee development, process improvement, inventory accuracy, safety, and customer service while ensuring compliance with company policies, standard operating procedures, and operational objectives. this is an exciting opportunity to make a significant impact within our organization. Responsibilities Assists the Warehouse Manager in leading daily warehouse operations, including Receiving, Inventory Control, Returns, UPC Operations, Picking, Replenishment, Shipping, and other warehouse functions as assigned. Provides leadership, training, coaching, and performance management for warehouse employees while promoting a safe, productive, and positive work environment. Coordinates labor, workflow, and operational priorities to meet customer service expectations, productivity goals, inventory accuracy standards, and shipping deadlines. Supports hiring, onboarding, employee development, performance management, and disciplinary processes in partnership with the Warehouse Manager and Human Resources. Ensures compliance with company policies, standard operating procedures, safety requirements, food safety standards, and industry regulations. Collaborates with internal departments to resolve operational issues and support company objectives. Monitors operational performance, inventory accuracy, productivity, quality, and service metrics while identifying opportunities for improvement. Supports continuous improvement initiatives and maintains operational procedures to drive consistency, efficiency, and operational excellence. Completes required reporting and administrative responsibilities related to warehouse operations and employee management. Travel 5% as required. Performs other duties as assigned. Knowledge and Skills Thorough knowledge of warehouse operations, inventory control, and distribution processes. Knowledge of shipping, receiving, inventory, and warehouse documentation. Experience operating forklifts and material handling equipment. Thorough understanding of warehouse safety practices and OSHA requirements. Demonstrated leadership, employee development, and team-building skills. Strong organizational, problem-solving, and communication abilities. Ability to analyze operational data and drive process improvements. Proficient with warehouse management systems, Microsoft Office, and reporting tools.

Education and Experience:
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Two years supervisory experience in similar warehouse environment
  • OSHA experience preferred
Work Environment:
The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. While performing the duties, this position is frequently required to: Stand and walk for long periods of time. Lift, load, push, pull, and carry products weighing up to 50 pounds. Climb stairs or ladders, as well as squatting, kneeling, bending, and reaching at shoulder level. The work involves repetitive motion. Exposure to cold, heat, loud noises, and machinery while performing job duties. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, and the ability to adjust focus.
