Pay Rate:
$23.00/hour (+ $5.00/hour if working weekends) -
Sign-on Bonus:
$1,000 ($500 payable after 90 days and $500 payable after 180 days) Position Objective The Warehouse Assistant Manager oversees a variety of shipping and receiving tasks. Incumbent will coordinate warehouse responsibilities at various levels to ensure that merchandise is received, stored and shipped in accordance with company policies and objectives. Other responsibilities include organizing work duties of the warehouse team; suggest recommendations and implements procedures to ensure the smooth operation of the Warehouse. Position Responsibilities 1. Establish receiving schedules and ensures that receiving teams are properly organized and staffed. Ensures that receiving procedures are properly followed. 2. Confirm that warehouse shipping and receiving logs are properly completed and that store and/or vendor claims are promptly forwarded to the appropriate parties for processing. 3. Confirm shipment damages or defects; verifies and signs for any discrepancies or damages. Traces lost shipments. 4. Ship and store merchandise in accordance with Customs requirements as given by the Documentation Department. 5. Coordinate all bonded documentation for outbound shipments and ensure that bills of lading and packing match outgoing loads. 6. Oversee work of local driver and ensure compliance with driver regulations. 7. Oversee and coordinate work of Customs dispatcher, ensure that all paperwork is stamped and verified properly prior to sending outbound merchandise. 8. Coordinate fulfillment solutions including repacking of merchandise, ticketing and verification of shipments. 9. Ensure that outbound teams properly complete verification and shipment processes. Oversee documentation and verifies that it is completed properly and accurately. 10. Responsible for enforcing and compliance of the company's security policies. 11. Train employees performing related work. 12. Supervise staff and coordinates work schedules, overtime and vacations. 13. All other duties as assigned. 14. Vision abilities required by this position include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus. 5. Physical demands include frequently sitting for long periods of time; standing, walking; ability to reach above or below shoulders, twist at the waist, stoop, kneel, crouch, bend, climb and balance. Comprehension, knowledge and use of technological business environment such as email, attachments to emails, scan documents, business software such as spreadsheets, presentation formats (power point) and word documents. Physical demands include frequently walking for long periods of time; sitting, ability to reach, stoop, kneel, crouch, bend, climb and balance. Ability to regularly lift and/or move up to ten (10) pounds, frequently lift and/or move up to twenty (20) pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to thirty (30) pounds. Ability to operate and use basic office electric and manual equipment. Knowledge Skills and Abilities 1. Minimally a Bachelor's Degree in business or related subject and/or equivalent work experience in a management capacity, minimal three (3) years management experience, preferable experience in a retail environment Time management skills and ability to work well under pressure with time restraints Strong leadership, communications (oral & written), organizational, planning, motivational and delegation skills Work Environment Professional business environment with minimal privacy utilizing standard office equipment with a low noise level (computers, copying machines, faxes, and printers running) with occasional exposure to elements such as dust fumes, noise and odor.
