POSITION PURPOSE

: The Yard Manager is responsible for overseeing daily yard operations within the marina while leading and supporting yard staff to meet customer service objectives. This role ensures all marina procedures and processes related to yard functions are consistently implemented and followed.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

: 1. Hire, train, develop, and motivate team members 2. Oversee vehicle operators, material movers, and any other relevant yard-related team members 3. Monitor yard inventory and purchases 4. Supervise and maintain the yard fence facility and equipment maintenance 5. Ensure compliance with the company's equipment and safety requirements 6. Identify and evaluate malfunctioning equipment and recommend corrective measures or repair 7. Maintain awareness of safety issues and report them immediately to the General Manager

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

: 1. Prior work history in a supervisor position in a mechanical, marine, or operational capacity is preferred 2. Must have highly effective communication and time management skills 3. Must be able to maintain a calm, positive attitude during periods of high activity

WORKING CONDITIONS/PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

1. Must be able to independently lift, carry, push, and pull up to fifty (50) pounds. 2. Must be able to walk outside in a variety of weather conditions (rain, wind, heat) for extended periods of time 3. Must be able to work a flexible schedule, which may include extended hours, weekends, and holidays Wage range $50,000 - $65,000 benefits Suntex Marinas offers a Benefits package which includes Medical, Dental, Vision, Life and AD&D, supplemental life insurance options, and a 401K with employer match to eligible employees.
