POSITION OVERVIEW
An Assistant Warehouse Manager is responsible for implementing workflow procedures based on direction from the company's General Manager. Their duties include supervising employees during day-to-day tasks, providing customer support in escalated situations and managing the overall workflow of a workplace.
ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Manage the day-to-day fulfillment of customer orders within the Value Added/Outbound Consumer Section of the distribution center. Responsible for shipping consumer type customer orders complete and on time. Expected to meet or exceed hourly fulfillment rate standards Responsible for responding to daily inquiries from the internal sales administrators regarding the status and prioritization of shipment activity within the VA/Outbound area Responsible for managing the product return process, and interaction with various AR and Customer Service staff within the company. Provide support to the warehouse manager in functional areas outside of the immediate VA and Returns depts. as necessary. Reconcile inventory, shipments and returns in systems on daily basis Pack, mark and ship orders in accordance with customer standards Maintain documentation of consumer type customer shipping standards Staff the Value Added and Returns departments according to budget and volume Maintain a clean and safe working environment Ensure proper preventative maintenance programs are in place for the equipment and resources within the Value-Added section of the distribution center Develop and maintain a purchasing replenishment program for packaging materials and MRO items for the value added and returns dept. Manage the Value Added and Returns dept. staff ensuring compliance to company rules and regulations as noted in the policy manual. Manage, develop, and report KPI's to leadership regarding performance of Value Added and Return Depts. Manage staff performance by coaching, counseling, disciplining, planning, monitoring, and performing evaluations of employees.
KPI'S OR KEY GOALS TO MEASURE PERFORMANCE OF POSITION
Safety Meetings - Monthly Participation 100%. Units Shipped Per Hour / Per Man Hour. # of Containers Processed. % of sales Shipped (Fill Rate) - 98%. Returns processed and Ag. Return receiving time. All KPI and goals are evaluated and may change depending on direction and strategy of
COO. MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Associates Degree 4-6 years of Supervisory Operations, Manufacturing, Distribution Management Required. Exceptional in Microsoft Office Suite - with the ability to use Excel advanced functions of pivots and formulas. Strong understanding of Warehouse Management Systems and Concepts Prior management or supervision of employees in warehouse facility.
