Job Description

Futonland is hiring an experienced Warehouse Manager for our Newark, NJ location. We are looking for a hands-on manager who can run day-to-day warehouse operations, keep the team organized, and make sure orders are received, prepared, and shipped accurately and on time.
Responsibilities:
Manage daily warehouse operations and warehouse staff. Organize receiving, storage, picking, packing, and shipping. Coordinate incoming trucks and outgoing customer orders. Make sure furniture is inspected for damage when received and before shipping. Maintain accurate inventory and help resolve inventory discrepancies. Assign work to warehouse employees and follow up to make sure it is completed. Keep the warehouse clean, safe, and organized. Coordinate with customer service, purchasing, and management. Track orders, deliveries, damages, repairs, and other warehouse issues. Help improve warehouse procedures and employee productivity. Use computer systems to update orders, inventory, shipping information, and internal communication.
Requirements:
Previous warehouse management or supervisory experience required. Experience managing warehouse employees and daily workflow. Strong organizational and problem-solving skills. Good computer skills are required. Comfortable working with order management systems, inventory software, email, spreadsheets, and shipping systems. Able to learn new computer programs quickly. Furniture warehouse, distribution, delivery, or logistics experience is strongly preferred. Must be dependable, punctual, and able to take responsibility for the operation. Able to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple priorities. Strong communication skills. Hands-on attitude — this is not strictly an office management position. What We're Looking For We need someone who can take ownership of the warehouse , manage people effectively, stay on top of details, and use both warehouse experience and computer skills to keep the operation running smoothly.
